Is it just me, or does fill=jungle moreso than support these days?
I've just noticed that more often than not, when I choose to fill I get jungle. I guess it makes sense given how god awful that role has felt to play this season.

It's not that bad , people are exgarrating , it's still the most impactful role in the game
As a jungle main I cant tell you the role isnt impactful anymore. You cant carry like you use too. And the fact that your always hoping your teammates will be decent enough to not die in a 1v1 or 2v2 seneraio. I cant tell you how many times my bot lane has died to an enemy jungle walking over a crab ive taken. Idk if you ever been a jungler when the mid and enemy invades you level 4 and takes your entire camp side and kills you while ur mid sits in mid doing nothing. It's so much easier to play as any other lane
The support role has gained a lot of things over the years to make it less boring and more impactful. Respectively, jungle has been made so impactful, that once you fall behind against a competent jungler, you're on a lower level than the support and pretty much a kamikaze smite for objectives.

No Counter picks don't mean shit in jungle unless you are playing a scale jungler vs Lee sin , dude , Jungling isn't laning , Counter picking means nothing

That tends to happen when riot guts a role Into the dirt. No one wants to play a role that matters for all of 6 minutes, then becomes entirely worthless.
Yup jungle is the most influential role in the game atm so you can basically determine a game on your own (which is why they get 10 times more shit then any other role atm) And probably why most people arent willing to play it.
Id love to return to the game and play the role but i hate the current jungle meta. I would honestly play eve every game if she was more like old eve but atm it feels like the only reason she is ever picked is because of her ult.
I will say Jungle is on the rise with fill, or at least that's what it feels like. Though if I'm being completely honest with my experiences, I've gotten every role from fill this week. Not in equal measure, but it has been nice to get a surprise mid lane.

I put mid and support and get auto filled jg every 3 to 4 games its gotten pretty rough. Luckily im not the worst jg, just really hard to play when all 3 lanes are losing while still over pushing. Or worse I get someone feeding the enemy jg. I'm not confident in invades or duels in jg yet.
Jungle is a brutal role. Every lane thinks your its slave and should bend to their will for the most part, and that makes it a demoralizing and tough position to be in when you need to make decisions.
I just think its funny you mentioned that. A few weeks ago I got put into a ranked game, 3 of us being jungle mains, all autofilled into different roles, with a random being given jungle. We all pleaded him to give one of us jungle. He said no. We were all subpar at laning due to being jungle mains, all lanes lost, and the jungle had no clue how to jungle.
Yep ur not wrong most people these days don't feel like playing with a braindead bot and then be called useless cuz they couldn't carry their bot and get blamed by the whole team for not having a kill but having like 20 assists or something

Lot less people what to jg now adays just look how toxic it can be jg get blamed for just about anything that gos wrong in a lane lol
I get a lot of top and jung when I fill only. Support is in there too, but it used to be fill = support
i've been playing a bunch of fill and i had a pretty good role experience so far. been getting every role, but i assume it's largely part of the day that matters since i do it after midnight. support and jungle are definitly the most common though, top and adc shortly after with mid being the rarest since everyone plays mid.
