Meant before, and there was some time pre runes were he was considered meph after his nerfs post rework.

He was one of the worst champions during ardent meta.

I got flamed multiple times for picking him in champ select that should tell you how bad he was at that time.

He Qs you over and over then sits inside his barrels to dissuade trading. Racks up a huge gold advantage from Klepto to get Sheen on his first back, then Qs you some more. And if you ever do engage on him, he'll Orange, pop a barrel on you, and run with 500 ms. Almost impossible to play against as a melee.

His Q spam early does 0 damage, it is a glorified auto attack, it's not until trinity and crit that it hurts. His barrels have long CD early, if he uses his combo once you have like a 10 seconds window, and it's easy to abuse. His oranges cost a lot of mana early and have a long CD, he cant use it after every trade.

Klepto really boosted his build speed, he's still not a lane bully tho, he just gets his spike faster than usual.

Doesn't matter if the damage is low, it has almost no cooldown or mana cost, so he can spam it infinitely with Corrupting Pot, or if they're feeling really cheeky they'll start mana crystal to rush Sheen faster. Even with just a Sheen his Q burns a decent chunk of HP on anything that's not a full tank.

Not necessarily just about the Q damage, but the free items he's getting from Klepto procs. That's another part why he's a tad annoying to lane against.

i mean he isn't a bully, but he is a very safe top lane pick. You cant really do anything about him, but he isn't gonna kill you unless you do some real goofy shit prior to him finishing Trinity.

Can't engage cuz Orange. W blocks his Q, but it has an 18 second cooldown vs. his 5. Zones me from cs with barrels. Nothing I can do.

Because he loses lane to a very select few champions, namely those who are broken off the face of the earth, or have literally no other reason to go top.

But not all of those broken champions, though.

Therefore, he must be balanced.

...In honesty? I think it's because nobody's really complaining about him.

My one and only issue with GP is that his ult is a global utility ult that does WAY TO MUCH DAMAGE FOR BEING A GLOBAL UTILITY ULT.
