Idea for an Inspiration or Resolve-located tankiness rune

Masterwork Armor

All completed items with MR or Armor on them have their total cost (and final combine cost) increased by 250 gold (or somewhere in that ballpark). In exchange, each item gives an additional X points (a balanced number, for instance 12) of the respective resistance. For items giving both resistance types, get X/2 of each resistance.

A rune that lets people bend the rules regarding defensive item slot efficiency a bit (which is why I could see it in Inspiration). Essentially, it would allow their users to translate a higher amount of their gold into defensive stats - allowing them to be more tanky in the lategame. The trade-off is, like with the other scaling runes, the lack of early-game power, as the benefit only comes in when completing a whole item (that is more expensive to complete as well).

Example:

item 3068:

Without this rune, Sunfire Cape has 60 Armor, 425 HP and its passive for 2750 gold. With the ballpark values above, Sunfire Cape would give 72 Armor, 425 HP and its passive at a price of 3000 gold total.

Dang. I like it. If it needs to replace something in Resolve, then we could give up Font of Life. Font of Life is undertuned and hardly ever used. The only champion I ever use Font of Life on is support Ashe anyways, so not much loss if it's removed.
This would let people spec Masterwork armor + Conditioning + Overgrowth for a lategame focused tank specialization.

Keystones are meant to affect the way you play, not just tweak a couple numbers. The effect needs to be visual. Good concept, but it needs something that feels more impactful. Maybe instead of granting armor/MR, it grants a shield against a certain amount of that damage type that regenerates out of combat.

I think that maybe 20% increased resistances would be a good number

I get this isn't supposed to be a Keystone but it would be nice to have a keystone that helps squishier champions move towards more of an offtanky role for different type builds if they're willing to give up some damage/healing/shielding innate in their kit. Aftershock only works with certain kits/situations, Guardian is more about protecting the ADC, and Grasp is pretty bad considering champions with lower base health who are ranged. Would be great to see a fourth option that actually provides sustained defense or let's tank items become more effective.
