I think this is riots way of saying league of legends is done.

Community Opinion -Riot's response

Mobility creep is getting way too out of hand -Riot continues making mobility champions and define champs by their mobility.

Mana using champs nerfed into ground and are becoming useless -Riot ignores the soaring rise of success that manaless based champs have.

Manaless champs op -Riot nerfs champs that are in no way causing problems with the health of the game while ignoring manaless champs that also tend to be part of the mobility creep, amplified even harder because no mana means more mobility spam. Kassadin, Viegar, Fiddle and Zed, kat, riven respectfully.

Mobility op rito pls stahp -Kalista is released. Possibly the most mobile champ yet that doesn't use her mana for her mobility. Zilean is reworked, giving him the ablilty to speed up a champ to 99% for 2.5 seconds.

Riot your boards are filled with unhappy customers, why do you continue to ngaf? ...riot? -Riot releases most trollable champ yet...

with mobility.

I think this a case of riot creating a meta. They have their game, and a specific vision of HOW they want it to be played.

Over time, design philosophies have changed and what riot looks for in a champion concept has also greatly changed. Going back and re-working everything is a bad idea; to much work, not enough reward. Going foreward is just the best option in this situation.

That being said, the mana change hurts older champions the most. I think base mana and mana regen needs to be modified accross the board. Like +50:+1m/s for all champions.

Sad to see that Sona doesn't exist in that vision.

It looks like a lot of champs wont be in that vision, at least not for a long long time.

in their meta, "jack of trades" style champions dont exist, aside from #bigplays champions. Sona literally does everything a support should do; Harass, sustain, mobility, and CC. And she does it all while being boring to both play and play against

Old sona was, at least, dynamic and had actually playmaking potential. If a support can go top or jungle, its a good champion in general. If a support is tied to their ADC by a five foot leash, its a bad champion...

this sounds like WoW's design philosophy. "Going forward is the best option."

they took a great game and made it shit and repetitive. It's numbers declining.

Yeah sure, people have been saying that WoW is "dying" since TBC.

WoW dying would be interesting- now it's just Boring and refusing to die.

I think this is the main problem atm. When Riot releases new champions and reworks them, they balance them around where they THINK will be going. This resulted in Rek'sai dominating top lane, Kalista can too if you are dumb and don't rush a Warden. Vel'koz became a really strong support, etc..

The meta concept was stupid to begin with, its like deciding that three groups of people should only have three types of food, and if those three groups decide to have a small taste of another groups food they are instantly nerfed, slapped, raped and profusely beaten in a corner with the decapitated tail of Skarner.

People who post complaints such as this one are often unable to actually play the game properly anyway, and are looking to blame anything and everything for their massive pile of failure, due to the fact that they are living in a disillusion that they are perfect and the rest of the community is bad/holding them back, when the truth is they are just god awful failures at this game.

Kögâ15 votes

You are 100% correct. I am unable to play the game in the "proper" competitive way it is being designed. I play for fun, fun in outplaying people. This I cannot do, because nowadays champs have SO much stuff in there kit that you cannot compete unless you are also using a champ that has a loaded kit.

Therefore, I refuse to play the limited champ pool of zed, lee, kat, kalista, thresh, J4 and yas.

Im fine at admitting when I get outplayed, I actually enjoy it. THAT is what helps me get better. Im tired of getting out'kit'ed.

Also would you like some pepper with that salt?

Minrog1 votes

By picking Veigar (or one of the other gutter champs) at all, you're proving you are terrible at this game. It's binary and the skill is in determining which champion is rigged to win, like at a carnival.

Kögâ2 votes

Looks like im terrible at this game.

Looks like there are 2 distinct players of this game-

The first play to win, these players will generally play fotm and "op" champs that are unbalanced or the top 5% champs that consistently dominate until nerfs come (then drop these champs for the next op thing.)

The second play for fun, these players like to try new things and still don't like losing but don't like winning at the cost of playing easy champs. Occasionally trying new things like AD malz or AP MF.

The first usually flame the second for doing poorly in games while the second type of player think the first are try hards and noobs that carry there games off easy champ's backs rather than skill.

coughs biased cough

But legit though, if you play to win, you should only do ranked, stay out of normals. Where no bans save you kids from spamming your bs champs.

Minrog2 votes

I was agreeing with your point. I don't think making a rigged game is good.

Kögâ1 votes

Only people who play the rigged champs think its good.

Sorry for the salt reply tho bae.

lol. That's slightly funnier than watching people complain about how much the game sucks and is dying...year after year.

Kögâ7 votes

Wouldn't you say this, at patch 5.4, is the new all time record for the games worst low point though? If you've been around when would you say it was at its worst and when it was at its finest?

Deep Terror Nami6 votes

You seem to be calling it a "low point" because you've made a list of things you personally don't like. That's just an opinion. If you want me to agree that LoL is at an all-time low, then you need to give statistics on new and concurrent users and average time played.

Kögâ11 votes

Im calling 5.4 a low point because all I see on the boards are negative after negative post. Granted, its always been like this, however this time 95% of the posts make sense (and then there are these posts lel). It seems riot has legit stopped caring about what the customer base wants and is trying to force feed us what they decide is best. Ballzy AF, unfortunately their judgment looks toward a game of 20 viable mobile spam champs.

Deep Terror Nami5 votes

Um ya, the forums will always be full of disgruntled players. It's rare for someone who is content to be vocal about being content. What you are doing here is as if you walked into a hospital and see a lot of injured people, you think "wow, 95% of people are injured!".

This is legit.

Season 3 was LoL's low point.

In preseason alone, we had League of Cleavers, League of BotRK, and and League of Warmogs. For preseason and the early parts of the main season, Fiddlesticks, Annie, and Morgana were the only playable supports; once the regular season started, the standard support lineup returned, but would routinely finish with Boots 1+Philo Stone+Sightstone at the end of games.

During the season itself, we had many wonderful examples of champion diversity:

*The Holy Trinity of ADCs (Ezreal, Graves, Corki) for much of the season *Taric, the facerolliest support in the game, being the outright best pick for 50% of the season. *That one patch where once Vayne purchased BotRK, her team was basically guaranteed victory unless she was behind 2 items. *Top lane in general. Proxy Singed and AP Tryndamere were both spawned by Season 3. Shen also hit his stride as a top pick who was impossible to win lane against (though most people could stalemate him) and had roaming potential; League of Ranged Tops for the second half of the season, featuring Elise, Jayce, and Kennen *Poke comps featuring Jayce/Kha'zix/pre-rework Nidalee *pre-rework Kassadin being permaban for the entire season *The jungle having absolutely no gold, screwing over farmers like Shyvana and Nocturne in favor of J4/Elise/Lee Sin (wonder where we've seen that before...)

Does this patch have some very questionable things in it? Absolutely. Was it as bad as any individual patch in Season 3? I'd say no.

I just think that riot realizes that the majority of this community is retarded anyway. A bunch of children who complain no matter what, so they're going to do what they do, and you're all going to keep playing this game lol.

So sick of hearing people complain.

Kögâ4 votes

LOL, this reminds me of old GD, where every basic betch hopped on the ol' "This community is soooo toxic and dumb" bandwagon. Talking shit about it like they weren't apart of it.
