You realize that when he marks camps to take them he loses a significant amount of HP and mana right? He cannot jungle "infinitely" as you think. Maybe read his abilities fully or watch some gameplay before you post here.

I didn't know that, no. The vid they put on Facebook doesn't show him losing health.

The critical advantage is the fact he doesnt have to directly fight jungle mobs so he can set up objectives more smoothly thru the use of smite and grove tending, especially since the 'duration' it takes for each grove to finish growing gets much lower on higher levels (could you imagine how strong it would be if CDR affects it too?), so i could imagine him being a sort of Support 'tankie' jungler that especially makes good use of items like high sustain power thru items like spirit visage and concentrating less on being a damage type of jungler and more of a setup jungler.
Especially since i am very sure the health/mana costs are not fixed to a % stat so unlike Soraka he could snatch up a item like Rod of Ages and let him pull off a few more grove makings before he reaches a point where it would be 'dangerous' for him to setup more groves before going back to base. Might be like playing as Kindred, the enemy jungler will focus on clearing out your jungle (with kindred being the marks) to prevent you from freely reaping harvests too easily, since everyone knows kindred getting her first 6 stacks thru the jungle is not very good with how much 7.5% health can shred on her autos, combined with red buff and blood razor.
Plus since he can smite to 'speed up claiming' a grove, he can likely gain the health and mana back easily thanks to smite bonuses on blue and red buff. But since he can avoid fighting them directly he can pick up the buffs fast and reap that large health/mana recovery from them, him gaining not the full exp bar from clearing them might be a down'side, but since he can early gank with ease after 'groving' red and blue buff, he can easily throw off laners since his abilities aren't required to 'grove make' so he could stack his Root'snag and dash ability early on to make mid and top lane get scared easily. Then go back to gain the goods even if it only just pushes the laner back to base or you simply scare them by throwing bush at them to freak them out like a teemo shroom.
He's going to be one hell of a lane bully and maybe even if he is done right, great at counter jungling since he could throw up bushes to freak out enemy junglers too and steal their jungle ruin them, even if its not the red/blue buffs and simply the wolves and birds to especially make good use of the detection bonuses that come with them and make it harder for them to even gain levels fast enough to begin when they can gank.
Plus even if a enemy jungler comes after him he can use his Root ability to get away and make use of bushes to fool opponents in ways such as making them think you went one way if they lose sight of you for a bit but a bush was put in one direction to make you think they went that way when ya went another way instead or vice versa.

Not only that, he has GREAT invade. I've seen him steal blue while the enemy team was at gromp using a very well placed bush.
