is there still a way to play blue ezreal

I loved playing blue Ezreal last season. When my team had enough damage I preferred to be doing great poke with utility via kiting than straight up dps so I've been wondering if you can still do it.

Last season my build was: item 3508 item 3025 item 3035 Boots and the last 3 items were all situational to the current game.

I didn't really buy item 3070 into item 3004 early game because old reaver gave a lot more damage and tear set you really far behind in the early game imo.

But with reaver changed to only being able giving you mana off of critical hits, which I don't think ezreals Q does, is a blue build ezreal still possible in terms of viability; or is it a bigger niche pick than before?

Triforce + Botrk is better for EZ now

Once they increased the crit chance on zeal to 20% Triforce is hella good.

After Botrk you just hit LW or pure bruiser

Well Blue wasn't the optimal way to build him the last few seasons either. I, personally, just felt that it was more fun and would like to know if any other players figured out a way to make it work.

I really felt like Manamune was an important part of Blue Build Ez. Partially because the mana from Iceborn scaled with it. In fact, I feel like it's better than ER on Ez. Simply because he needed the Mana Early, where ER was not good to rush. (and obviously now, ER isn't as good on ez as it is on others.)

The general understanding I had was that Ez, trades raw damage for the extra kiting potential and zone control that Blue build offered. Of coarse for an ADC, Damage is everything, so the blue build must be useless. right?

Why I rushed essence reaver first was because the early item 1038 really helped in farming and quick trades when you couldnt get a Q off, you got a mana return while farming and the early CDR is nice as well. Most blue ez players got an early tear as their first item which helped you scale it faster but really cut your damage for the next while.

With manamune it increases your mana pool and regen slightly but you can still run oom with it pretty quickly in extended fights with essence reaver I found that I sustained my mana pool in fights for much longer.

There is still the argument where you could get both but I felt it was better to get one or the other and then move on to my next item (almost always item 3025 ).

Blue ezreal was definitely not useless but you trade ezreal's strong mid game for a pretty decent late game. You still get a lot of straight up damage; if the game goes late I hit up to 350-400 AD but you no longer deal DPS as fast as traditional adc's but you get significantly better poke and really good burst if you position right.

That was then though and this is now. A lot of blue ezreal's core items last season have been changed pretty significantly to the point where you can't buy them if you'd like to play more as a caster. I'm still trying to find a way to make him work with a blue build but was wondering if any other players had any ideas.
