Who would you like to see reworked into a "Juggernaut"

ComannderShepard··8 votes·1,140 views

Balance issues aside, Garen Mordekaiser Skarner Darius are a blast to play as and make you feel like a true powerhouse on the rift. What champions would you like to see be reworked to be a juggernaut?

I think Sion feels like he fits the bill of a juggernaut already but I would love to see Swain be touched up like this.

sion is already very well designed as a tank. he doesnt need another rework.

mundo might need a look at. yorick almost certainly fits the bill and is already stated to get a rework.

swain absolutely doesnt fit.

as for champions that need a rework in general, tryn should be most certainly on the list.

Can I say how funny that the "Undead Juggernaut" isn't a juggernaut and is instead a tank?

Build some Ad on him. He feels powerful, like you don't want to be near him at all; and you just feel like a juggernaut when playing him.

Yeah he's a tank but he feels more like a juggernaut to me; a hulking beast of a champion that you really don't want to be near. If they are going to keep touching up the current juggernauts I would like to see them be more on the tanky side than the damage side. So they still feel unique and powerful but can't 1v5 your team :l

Why wouldn't Swain fit. I think a 'Juggermage' would be awesome.

he doesnt fit because hes loaded with cc. ya, his ult kindof allows him to be in melee, but his base kit with his snare and ranged auto attacks is more like that of a mage.

Darius has two 90% slow, one is super spammable and one is an aoe pull
Skarner has an aoe slow, stun and the hardest suppression in the game

buth are short range. all of swains base abilities are ranged.

I did not mean he needs a rework. I meant that he was reworked very well and feels powerful to play, like a juggernaut

sion has way too much cc for them to give him more damage, he's fine as a regular tank

i always thought Volibear fit the juggernaut theme pretty well.

Alistar Cow power. No more questions. Olaf He's even a Juggernaut right now. They just need to rework him a tiny bit and he'll be a full blown Juggernaut. Shyvana See above.

I don't even understand what Riot mean by Juggernaut. The definition seems to mean "assassin tanks" in which case I don't want anymore

I think by juggernaut they mean champions that you don't want to be near. I know my wording is a really bad lol but I read somewhere that all champions are going to get worked into something really unique eventually (I think marksmen are next but I could be wrong)

I think the correct term of Juggernaut is "Immobile, Melee Caster Carry".

Archenz1 votes

Well they seem to be here to stay.

They arent assassins, if your foolish enough to let them get close, then they do what they are suppose to do. Pick champions that can kite them.

The juggs arent going anywhere.

DrNova1 votes

The do nearly assassin level damage while being tanky in some/many regards. and they aren't that immobile. Deadmans takes care if most of that. Garden can Q. They just don't feel like they have a weakness enough for all their strengths.

Meanwhile you have immobile mages, who either get out damaged by them or can't DO enough damage to them' while being very squishy. The range most mages have isn't enough to fight them especially if they decide to flash engage and 100-0 you as fast or faster then you can a squishy.

Well, Riot's basic definition of Juggernaut is: Powerful, Durable, Immobile, and Melee. Going with that:

Chogath is pretty solid as he is, but I think he could fit the bill of "large hulking bruiser-tank-thing," take away from of his oppressive "Oh, you thought you dodged that Silence?"

Generally, I'd say shave off some of his base power, but give him more when he has Feast stacks. Longer range or bigger AoE on his abilities - make a full Cho'Gath truly terrifying, with bonus damage to structures at max Feast stacks.

What if feast stacks did something along the lines of evolivng like with kha zix or viktor? Extra damage to buildings would be cool and he could get something new every stack; or maybe just at 1,3,6 with the bonus hp.

Swain is certainly an interesting choice, and actually does fit the bill once he starts birding out. The only issue is that he doesn't usually build too much HP or resistances like a Juggernaut.

I feel that Trundle already is one, and would be interested to see what they could do with DrMundo, who is in sort of a bad place right now.

While I agree that his damage output should exceed his tankyness, people playing him as a full AD assassin is just unbefitting to his theme.

Tryndamere Give his ult some serious work and rework him into a juggernaut and I would play this guy all the time.

In his current state, I hate playing with him AND against him, which is saying something because I mained him S3 before I stopped maining champs.

Would really suck to see Renekton and Volibear buffed (cause let's be real, it would be a buff). Olaf maybe, but I feel like he's fine.

well it wouldn't just be buffs right? Power would be shifted around and unique gameplay mechanics would be implemented.

You don't simply rework a champ into a juggernaut. Those 4 champs and a few more were already juggernauts before their rework.

Why not? there are tons of older champions that just don't feel well, good anymore in terms of satisfying to play or even being fun like Yorick Taric (I love taric it's just an example :l) and they are going to be reworked eventually so why not into a Juggernaut if not a tank/bruiser?

I mentioned swain because he doesnt really feel all that special or powerful (in my opinion) unless he's snowballing. When you hit R at level 6 you're a slowly walking around healing bird and it just feels boring (in my opinion); I just feel like Riot could do something really neat with Swain given the time.

RisenDarkKnight1 votes

That might be true but he feels really strong to me right now. At least he's the highest winrate champ that I play a lot in ranked. I think his niche is to be able to tank a ton of damage while still dishing out a good bunch with his sustain. Feels powerful to me. But yeah, if you're really behind you dont' deal enough damage so they just ignore you. He is a simple champion, but still I find him fun. A rework might make him more interesting.

It may not have to be a full on rework. Garen Darius and Skarner were not reworked. They were changed gameplay wise and some power was shifted around in their kits. I love playing swain but think his abilities could do more not damage wise but when you press that R button people should be afraid of you, not just ignite you and kill you.

IceKingChernobog1 votes

volibear, his kit is way too binary and if he got buffed he would be overBEARing.. majoritybof his power is in his W which has a long cooldown, even with cdr and there are other champs who does what he does but better

UB3R 1337 H4X1 votes

J4, Renek, Voli, Hec but to state a more controversial pick Nasus as I feel he is he makes for boring gameplay and can be bad for both teams including his as he becomes useless if he is stopped from stacking up which leads to him afk farming trying to get back to a point of relevancy beyond Wither.

Yorick should have been. But i also pick trundle and olaf
