My friend keeps saying Bard is going to suck
Inb4 Bard gets picked in the LCS and he suddenly thinks he is broken and freelo, just like support Veigar before the stun nerfs, or Gnar.

You always have that one person who says the new champion is below trash tier and will autoreport whoever even thinks of using them. I've heard this exact same thing with Thresh, Vi, Jinx, Lucian, Quinn, Zac, Gnar, Braum, Vel'koz, Ziggs, Ahri, Lulu, Yasuo, and the remakes for Sion, Master Yi, Cassiopeia, Karma, and Trundle. At some point, you get the message to just disregard that individual.
The thing with Bard is you have to be especially sure of your game. Because his passive encourages him to roam, it doesn't mean you get to scuttle off and do whatever. His presence is demanded at bot like any other support, but he has the ability to roam around and still gain boons from doing so, allowing him to also support other lanes in the process, along with his jungler.
That's really the catch here. The support is now supporting three lanes at once, including his jungler. If he's needed elsewhere, he could potentially get there fairly quickly, but his absence from bot lane could make the enemy try and take advantage of the opportunity. Then there's the fact that two of his skills affect the enemy as well. It makes him quality troll bait, but I live in hope for this one.
Him being used in the LCS wont mean much since he is support. supports seem to be the only roles in the LCS with some form of counterplay.
i played bard on PBE his nowhere near trash, he just requires alot of thinking before you can use him efficiently
