I've heard Riot is working on some "exploding frozen statue" passive for Lissandra, and I think people are looking forward to that.
It sounds interesting, but it also sounds complicated and probably even pretty busted.
Why not do something simple?
They could easily just have her deal bonus magic damage, a small amount of true damage, or give her bonus magic penetration to targets that have had their movement impaired by her crowd control.

Elite4Runner1 votesI don't actually have one. I've seen people talking about it on the boards. It was probably on the PBE for a very short amount of time or mentioned by a Rioter on twitter or something.
Basically, when she kills an enemy, they leave behind a frozen statue that shatters and deals damage to surrounding enemies.
Sounds neat, .. but obviously it is complicated and potentially very strong.

Why not double down, and give her a complex passive?
I like the idea of more outplays in her kit.
I mean, currently she is (from what I have seen in game, and heard on forums) good at stuff, but not the best.
If you want raw AP damage? There is better picks.
If you wanna teleport around, and make sick plays? There are still better.
If you master her kit, and do the sickest play, you get similar results to other champs doing easier stuff.
I say yes.
Give her a cool, "Stun statue" whatever the hell that is lol.
She needs more reason to be picked.
Frozen Diva1 votesIt's because Meddler wanted her passive to be interesting, unique and exciting. They've tried the bonus dmg stuff but it felt boring and people did not appreciate it. Then he came up with the frozen statues and the majority was hyped. This passive feels so right for Lissandra imo. It fits very well.
He will talk about it in his next gameplay post on wednesday.
