but nami is allowed to have a point and click ability that does 230 + heals for 2x sonas heal? while still having bubble/ult/a built in lich bane to combine with another lich bane to give her leblanc levels of burst when built fully ap?

is riot really so biased and muteaphobic that the original 35 nerfs and the current league of maw/abyssal making her do 0 damage so she has to buy void staff as 2nd/3rd item wasnt enough?

no one gives a shit about cheerleader sona its trash and requires no mechanics remove w and put the scaling cdr as a passive on her w and bring her q back to old damage and shes a good champion

Sona also shields in a massive area, and all her auras are much more effective in teamfights rather than in lane. her cds are also all but non-existent as she levels up.

Cheerleader sona is inherently bad because the idea of auras is nice but you will be balanced around max effectiveness, and you are never hitting all 4 teammates, until mid/late game. She might perform well in extended 2v2 or 3v3 skirmishes but League is not that at the moment, esp with DQ. As a support it's your job from early/mid game to make or prevent plays and Sona does neither of those things so she's not a support. She's a mage, balanced around the current itemization meta. At the start of S6 rapidfire cannon and abyssal were cheap enough for her to make her a monster, now everyone builds abyssal and maw. Boots are more expensive. Now I'm running gold seals just to keep up. She's a terrible mage ATM.

If she's to be a support, her core kit needs a serious rework.

If they really wanna make sona more fun and dynamic she either has to have a very large aura to sway the overall flow of a battle field without cause team group ups or whe needs to have different combo from music order. If she could combine power chords or cause different effects based on what order they are applied that would be a better solution than the " run around while rolling face on keyboard until out of mana" approach.
