Is because she is the easiest champion in the game to play. Aside from that, she has absolutely nothing going for her, and is actually a terrible champion, that will never be good, or comparable to Alistar, until Zenith Blade grants her CC immunity upon tagging a target.

The only reason her E was allowed to be garbage in the past, is because she actually did damage, and was actually a threat. Her Q does 10damage now. She doesn't do damage anymore. She is not a threat. Give her E quality of life compensation buffs for neutering the only thing that was ever good about her(Her burst).

As it stands the only three support matchups that don't hard counter Leona are, Blitz, Soraka, Sona.

Why does everyone say this? She's a support. She was designed as a support. She can lock down a single target for a long period of time and her engage is still amazing. Her survivability is insane when stacking Aftershock and W.

Why does she need to do damage? She's most certainly a threat in her current state.

She's got about a 50% winrate and a decent pickrate, Leona is in a fine spot. Could she be better? Sure, but as of right now she's totally fine.

Also, totally subjective. I think Annie is the easiest champion to play considering all her moves are AOE or point and click, have good scaling, her stun can be held infinitely, and her already good engage is made even better with the addition of Protobelt.

If I can manage to win a 1v1 against an Urgot with 2 kills up on me as Leona, she's clearly not doing that bad.

Yeah, her damage isn't huge. But she's designed as a tank support, not a high-damage champion.

Her survivability is legitimately insane, especially with Aftershock (which basically gives you two of your W at once). She has one of the highest CC durations of any champion (The only champion coming to mind that is otherwise being Ashe with a max stun R), and her damage is actually pretty decent against squishies.

It'd be nice if she did more damage. There's no reason for her AP ratios to be that crazily bad when it's not like people are going to be building full AP with her anyway. I've got to disagree about her being bad or the easiest in the game to play, though. If your team is really good the enemy is on the run anyway then yes of course it's super straightforward and she's easy to play, but making a difference as a tank support when your team is struggling and disorganized is another matter entirely.

She's great against Brand. Morgana and Nami are the only two I wouldn't pick her against.

Compared to something like Sona, Soraka and Janna, not exactly. Even then difficulty is subjective. I find Ekko incredibly easy to play, whereas my best friend wouldn't know where to start.

Other than the fact that she has one of the highest amounts of single target hard CC lockdowns in the game. She has a root, and two stuns. She has three seconds of consistent single target hard CC from when she lands her E. That for pretty much all champs nowadays is an instant death sentence.

did you forget about Zyra, Lux, Fiddle, Xerath and the only one not having a long duration CD from the comfort of distance on a single ability is Brand.

Tank overall got nerfed. I agree but saying Leona is outclassed by other support , not so much.

and ill agree, shes fine at low elo's where people are unaware that virtually everything in the game hard counters her E. But Plat and higher she is horrendous. 90% of supports and half of ADC's can hard counter her E making her completely useless.
