So I looked at 5.19 patch notes, saw the devourer nerf was ranged only. I'm curious why they are giving it another nerf, just for ranged champs which are pretty rare in the jungle, so soon after that last little nerf. There are almost no ranged junglers in the game.
Was Kindred too strong with it?
The Yetii Rider3 votesKindred has a BoRK passive on-hit. This passive stacks with BoRK. Then you add Phantom Hit to the mix. It wouldn't be such a big deal if Riot hadn't nerfed armor recently, but they did. So you can't build health to mitigate Kindred's damage and if you stack armor it takes longer and is less gold and slot efficient than before.
So yeah, if Kindred had come out with the Sated as-is, she would have been basically camping top all game and making melee champs cry while ignoring other lanes.

Marthian1 votesVayne, Kayle, Twisted Fate, and who knows what else started showing up, with basically the same weaknesses as melee sated junglers (so basically, they used it better), only they got further mileage out of it due to not having to gap close (or have built-in mobility)
Kindred would have been another reason to nerf it, but she isn't the sole reason.
