WTF exactly is the counterplay to conqueror Tryndamere other than CC out the ass?
Like honest to god I would love for someone to answer what the counterplay to a champion that literally can't die doing upwards of 2000 true damage is.

There is none, and quite frankly Riot doesn't give a fuck.

Well that's Marc Merrill for ya.
Poke him down, deny him fury, kite him and don't let him CS. Champions like Teemo, Vlad, and Kennen still hard counter his ass and as long as he doesn't get a lead, can bully him away from even getting CS.
and that's why tryndamere is a healthy champion
if he didn't have RNG
because you can do all of that, if he happens to be lucky you lose they should honnestly rework his passive
Tbh i still hope he gets a full rework. but i dont really hate tryndamere, i just hate champs that mindlessly split push all game xd

And then he scales up anyway, forces you to babysit him top, and renders your lead worthless by forcing the game into a mind-numbing 4v4.

If you are ending the game with your advantage while its a 5 vs 4, that is your fault not his.
Wait how does it become 5 vs 4 if he’s babysitting Tryndamere?

Because after you have a lead, you should be pushing with your team while he continues to farm.
But that's just the problem.
He split pushes so incredibly well, that you can't leave him alone for more than 5 minutes, or your towers just crumble to him.
So, it's either push your advantage elsewhere, and let him catch back up, or keep him behind, only to let your team face a 4v4.
Because after you have a lead, you should be pushing with your team while he continues to farm.
And then he crushes all of you top lane towers for free because nobody is there to stop him.

You've literally never played against a Tryndamere, have you?

vladimir does not counter tryndamere tho. and teemo can easily be cheesed in the first level . ok for kennen
vladimir does not counter tryndamere tho.
Yeah he does?
and teemo can easily be cheesed in the first level
He can cheese literally every champion if he gets lucky?
Vlads problem is, he can't survive long exchanges of blows. Some poke and heal up, sure. But once trynd is 6+ and has 1 or 2 items, the only way for vlad to survive is to disengage with flash, because spin for the win can still catch his pool.
Anything can cheese anything if they are lucky. Teemo can poke trynda, make his farming a living nightmare, but he can't stop him (unless he totally shuts him down from farm). His blind will make trynd useless for 3 seconds, but for the rest of ult time trynd will beat him purple. Not to mention once trynd is 6, he can pretty much dive teemo whenever his R is ready.
Yeah he does?

i'm a diamond 2 tryndamere otp (ok, i'm playing almost only ahri and leblanc right now on this account, still got at least 1 million masteries on trynd) and i guarantee you vlad does not counter tryndamere. sure if you dont know when to all in and just e in at the worst of time vlad will kill you, but vlad and ryze are like 2 champion that people picked a lot into me, and i destroyed them every single time. what happens is tryndamere will build merc , followed with a zeal and eventually an hexdrincker, and then all in you with ignite available. only all in if the W slow is on. these 2 champion just die too fast, you could argue they can kite but honestly i'll just go for the 40% cdr build and spam E to stay on their ass.

If you are building all that MR, why would the Vlad not build all the armor in the world so you can't just one vs one him like that?

beceause he'll lose too much damage, he can go zhonya. but at best it gives him a way to survive, it's not like he suddenly start to counter me cause he can not die lol . idk why people suggest ranged champion vs trynd, renekton is a nightmare for tryndamere, jax lose early but completly outsscale you, trundle beat you at any stage of the game, fiora destroy you late game. why suggest teemo ?
There isn't much counterplay. He always outscales every other toplaner in the game (excluding Jax). What you can maybe do is either kill him early or zone him off CS. He depends on CS gold to have any damage.
There isn't much counterplay.
Eh, kind of. It is more so you don't counterplay him end game because of his ultimate, I honestly believe that at 6 finished items, there is no champion that can just stand there and 1 vs 1 Try, so the way of beating him is not letting him get to that point.

Well, I play Trynd a fair amount (M5) and I can say that he wins most all-in trades level 2 with ignite. He definitely isn't bad early. His mid game is good, and his late game is good.

Tryndamere is good at levels 1 and 2 before most other champions get their full three abilities sure, but this is true of most auto attackers. At level 3-5 he's not particularly strong and real early game champs who are almost universally casters (be it AD or AP) tend to fuck him over.

His ultimate is what makes him uncounterplayable, not how much he can scale. Cassiopeia at 6 items is counterplayable. Vayne at 6 items is counterplayable. Nasus at 6 items is counterplayable. No one's upset that he does good damage late game, it's the fact that he can turn undying for 5 seconds and then use a dash that has a longer range than flash. He's a champ that decides when he wants to go in and then decides when he wants to go out. Winning the trade? Just keep AAing. Losing the trade? Dash away. They're still following you? Undying. Also the fact that his skills don't require mana adds insult to injury. HE CAN ALSO ULT THROUGH CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC !!!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!! Just amazing counterplay.
He actually loses a lot of matchup 1 v 1 and is a scaling champ, so he gets beat up pretty bad early game unless you let him stack his fury and cheese you level 2

Also
hard outscales as long as you don't get killed early.
As for a fed Tryn, literally just burst him and force his ult out then he's useless till it comes back up. So yes, Burst him, CC him and either kill him or force him away. A tryn without an ult is barely a champion.

Does Jax really outscale anymore? While both benefit from Conquerer, on Tryndamere's part the match-up hasn't really changed that much. Jax always did enough damage to quickly force Tryndamere low into ulting. But with conquerer and IE Tryndamere is cutting through Jax's resistances far better than he used to, and the IE rework means he only needs two crit items to get 100% crit now. Tryndamere isn't overly strong in the current meta overall, but the runes and items have made his late game dueling possibly the strongest they've been in a while.

on jax, tryn doesn't get to ever win the 1 v 1 ever again.
And you'd have to be terrible to lose at this point thanks to perma Jax q/e's
add nasus, kled to the list and remove pantheon, vlad, jayce and we have a deal.

Nah, Pantheon, Vlad and Jayce are all really good against tryn
If Vlad and Jayce run Phase Rush there really isn't anything tryn can do other than hope they are bad or mess up. Ranged carries with Phase Rush are super annoying for Tryn considering his only CC is a slow and it literally removes the slow and makes them run away from him infinitely kiting him. Meanwhile Jayce has a knock away and vlad has his pool and

Pantheon also makes Tryn Hella miserable if played properly, sure you get outscaled but then you bring your map presence on the other lanes and win that way.
As for Nasus, I am not sure. I personally when I play Tryn have issues with the lane but always felt it was me being bad rather than the matchup because high ELO tryn's say the matchup's easy. I am a Diamond support main that just likes to play Tryn top on Gold/Plat smurfs, so my opinion is garbage to someone like fogged who says that matchup is easy.
pantheon and jayce are both really fucking easy for tryndamere, you start cloth armor against both and they are pretty much fucked already, just go tabis into tiamat and proxy against jayce and just straight up beat pantheon who can't really even roam due to your pushing power.
when it comes to vlad he actually scales but doesn't really have enough damage to do shit to you and with phase rush and pool being on a far longer cd than tryndamere's e and w it's a pretty favorable matchup for tryndamere, vlad does later outscale though and has an advantage but that's outside of the laning phase really.
high ELO tryn's say the matchup's easy
because nasus is useless as fuck in high elo and if played into a decent jungler gets shit on the entire game, in a 1v1 setting susan won't lose to trynda though.
More like what exactly is the counterplay to Conqueror????????? Delete this fucking rune.
Nasus Wither, Ashe Crit slow, or Ali's disengage are all helpful.
Nasus Wither, Ashe Crit slow, or Ali's disengage are all helpful.
Helpful, but don't stop his rampage. Nasus into trynd, you're just begging for a bad time, if he's close enough to be AA by Ashe, she's already dead. Ali's the only pheasable matchup
Nasus Wither, Ashe Crit slow, or Ali's disengage are all helpful.
Ashe isnt really good, his own slow messes with her kiting, his E bypasses her slow and 2-3 hits from him kills her.
If he has mercurial its almost better to never even try going near him, he might just E-Flash-AA-AA and drop you right then later on.
Ashe is my second most played so i got that treatment a few times :(
Nasus Wither, Ashe Crit slow, or Ali's disengage are all helpful.
wow whata ya know, 2/3 recommendations are two non meta champs, one being a champ that gets kited out the ass and then another being a shit tier adc that only works in low elo. Then lastly we have a support recommendation.
As you all know support is one of the easiest roles to climb ranked with.
Thanks for the suggestions brother. I'll try this on tryndamere.

A quick peek shows me that Tyrndamere isn't really tearing things up with a bog standard 49.5% win rate and something like a 1.5% pick rate. Nasus is getting a buff to Q farm as well to help him out. (Even though his Q needs to be reworked to be more healthy.)

Are you using winrate as a check to how uncounteraplayable and toxic a champ is. Here's a joke for you, Irelia, akal, leblanc, and aatrox all have negative winrates. They same champions the community complains about. The champions whose deaths rely on the user messing up than the opponent being better.
Winrates don't mean anything. It's a general overview of what's happened in a period. It neglects who's playing, how long they've been playing the champ, DC's, how well the player's teamates are doing, how many of those games are being played on blue side or red side, etc.
I'm guessing you're new to boards. This is common knowledge.

Here's the counter play to Tyrndamere. Repeatedly kill his ass five times by level six and end the game while it's a 5v4. If you want to make him commit suicide both in game and in RL go Rammus Jungle and walk all over him. It's a hard fact that Tyrndamere loses as many games as he's in. He does have counters. People are just shit at executing them because they all want to be glass cannon carries.
If you want someone to legitimately be upset about? Last I heard Lucian had something like a 53% win rate with a 15% pick rate.

So your counterplay to tryndamere is "just kill him lol" wow. Amazing. Why didn't I think of that? Thanks man I'll definitely try that. And just because I'm speaking about tryndamere doesn't mean I don't notice how ridiculous lucian is. The difference between the two is one is a squishy ad with tons of damage that once I cc dies, the other is a fighter that once he gets cc'd and taken below health can turn undying and dash away and then keep farming and split pushing.
Jax, Tryn, Yasuo, Yi, ChichenDyr are all like this.
It use to be one hard CC could do the job but not today with the damage output. You need 2-3 Chain hard CC to stop them.
Its just stupid.
So you're suggesting damage has been significantly lowered? 'Cause that's the only way this makes sense.
Either damage is high and they die in 1 good CC, or damage is lower, and it takes multiple when it used to only take one... Doesn't make sense any other way.

I'm not the person you're replying to but imo it used to be (season 4/5 not counting devourer) that if you cc'd yi, he'd maybe chunk/kill one or two people before suiciding or backing off, but now master yi has enough damage most of the post 30 min games to 1v5 teamfights if not literally permacc'd from when he ults fo when he dies. So he requires more cc to deal with bc before he just had to be stopped. Now he has to be killed or you lost the teamfight
Only cc. Just like for yi. Riot do not know how to make glass cannon champions. It's trash design by nature that the only way to counter a champ is to cc them.

Just one of those picks thats very different in new vs old hands.
Practiced Trynd is a real pain in the balls.
The problem is that even when he loses, he wins. You can't stop him from punching down your towers, all you can do is stall and hope your team has the better 4v4.
It's blatant favoritism because he's named after one of the creators (Albiet, Ryze is as well, but i respect the way they treat his favoritism. Instead of allowing a shitty oppressive champion to rampage every game sub-plat/low diamond, they try to rework him into a champ that's usable by all people)
Essentially, your best bet is to have someone on reserve to rush to either top or bot who can CC chain him. Don't let squishies or DPS champs try to fight him, because he'll just press his Skill Button and gutterstomp them under the 'protection' of your towers. On the other hand, a tank who doesn't have enough waveclear won't be able to stop him from just instagibbing the tower under their nose. The champs i'd say are okayish at stopping him under tower would be something like Galio, with big CC and waveclear. Maybe a malzahar if he's very good, but that's risky in the case that tryn just waits to ult until malz presses R (thanks game, allowing him to press R while cc'd).
There is no skill matchup when it comes to fighting a trynda It's just champion picks and rushing the lane he goes to before he can nuke towers
Keep lanes pushing out so you have forewarning enough to rush to lane and stop him if you can. That's all i have left to offer as counterplay
There's a good chance this post will get deleted by the mod squad for calling out favoritism, but meh ¯_(ツ)_/¯ -AA [zombie-brand-clap]
JusT Cc hIm brO
Pantheon puts him down quite well depending on your lead.
Tryndamere will eventually outscale in the end, but hopefully you'll be far enough in the game he wont be as effective.
pull him into your fountain to deny his undying rage!
