Will Stormraiders Fail as a Keystone?

Stormraiders is barely used now. It will be receiving some buffs in the near future though. You can check it out on the PBE here:

But the question is will this Keystone ever be a viable pick without being brokenly strong? Assassins won't really take this mastery because they care more about actually dealing damage and securing their kill In which case they swill take Thunderlords Decree. Other champions will still prefer having the guaranteed damage over the non-guaranteed movement speed.

Stormraiders seems like a really cool concept for a Keystone Mastery as it will help to fit a certain play style. But is it that as long as Keystones remain as a one-pick choice deal that it will simply be overshadowed by a damage-focused keystone unless Stormraiders is strictly stronger than it? Or does the cunning tree simply not provide enough to adequately suit this Keystone?

For champions with a lack of escape or chasing ability, I think the upgrade will be wonderful.

Diana and Pantheon seem like they'll be great users of it.

So for my Diana build I think it already IS viable, my concern is what I lose by taking the Tree as a whole to begin with. Honestly Escaping OR even finishing a gank when I miss Q make's it tasty, however I lose all those lower tiered Dmg boosts in doing so.

You going ferocity? Which capstone? I tried DFT and I didn't really like how it worked.

Adding anymore damage keystone would be redundant to their burst (since squishies can be 100-0'd anyways), so a utility one like Stormraider's would be helpful. There are still champs that can quickly burst but can only run to escape upon killing.

As of now, it's just underrated, like maxing E on MF right now. Since her Q can still chunk down health bars at rank 1 in later levels, getting more points for such a powerful utility spell would be more helpful.

I think it might help melee champions with high amounts of burst damage that don't want to commit to a fight in the laning phase (--> poke). Like, if you go in as Ekko and deal ~~200 damage (30% in the early levels) you can back off again and use the movement speed to dodge spells and avoid slows.

I like it on low cooldown mages who like to have an in and out style personally run it on Viktor Xerath and mid lane Sona

Its probably the best keystone on Evelynn if your building at least 1 damage item

It's a neat idea, probably never will be widespread useful without being made OP utility -- on the level of the proc = uncatchable

Next year when they do another pass, it will likely be removed as a failed experiment, or ignored entirely.
