Dear Morello: one thing you are 100% wrong on

Morello I think there's a misconception that this Soraka is not about healing, and is about doing damage. This is very far from the truth.

That's BS and I'm calling it out as such. Her old kit was released with 2 spells that did damage, one sustained AoE and one poke. Her new has two spells that do AoE damage and have CC components.

Here's the thing. Once you release a work, you the creator don't entirely get full say about what it is about. Now you can state your intentions about what you wanted it to be about, but once it is out there what it is may not be what you want it to be. This is true for books, movies, anything. There are plenty of times when what a creator wanted of something differed from what the people viewing that work got out of it.

So who's right? Technically while the creator saying what he wanted should be granted to him, what it is, well that's up for debate and whether he intended and aspect of it or not, if it's in there, than that work has that aspect of it. Even if it wasn't wanted or intended, you have to accept there's that aspect to it.

The proof is in the pudding.

Here's where you are wrong, the moment people picked up on her damage aspect was the moment she started to be about damage as well. It was there in the final work, so they were right to say she was a damage champ because she was a sustained damage champ. And then they proved it.

This is why for a lot of people, the new soraka is going to suck: you changed the pudding recipe and took out 2 key ingredients: damage and the mana heal. So you basically decided that instead of keeping your coke recipe, you wanted to push new coke on people.

This new pudding is not Soraka's Banana Pudding. It's diet banana pudding, so it's not quite banana pudding enough.

Honestly, I'm not quite sure what your issue is; you started off talking about Soraka, but then the next paragraph you went into the rights of who has permission to change a character (I say it's the people with access to the coding of said character to make changes at all), then some type of coke and pudding metaphor. I'm not actually sure whether your upset that Soraka DOESN'T do enough damage compared to her past rework, or she does TOO MUCH damage for a healer.

I rate this thread a Made Me Hungry/10
