What they did with kog
Pardon my skills with paint. This is basically what they did with kog.

This is a work of art sir.
R - Waste of Mana
Lmfao to me it's a "You'll lose attacks if you press R so why press R".
It only seems even slightly useful if you happen to get into a level 6-7 fight, or are super delayed in finishing your guinsoo's.
i don't know hmmmm let's see
R massively out-ranges your auto-attacks and can be used to kill people that escape your auto range
W is not always up (unless there's mid-late game CDR build for kog'maw) so you can weave an R or two between regular autos if you're in range
R is also good for safely farming since it last-hits easily with the execute damage
read the god damn ability, it's meant to finish people off now, use on under 50% at the very most
I don't see anything wrong with what you said lol. I guess it just makes sense and people who use boards hate things that make sense.
hey man, R is how you get fed. w to scatter the weak, then R to collect your winnings

ftfy
what i find funny is ever since his rework kog has been this way, but now that he saw some lcs play suddenly everyones complaining about kogs w and hes getting nerfed, where as before they were bitching that he had no power and is completely useless. Idk, i hope the nerf doesnt hit him too hard. full on hit 5 attacks a second kog is super fun.
Because he used to have his passive AS bonus on his Q, meaning you had to leave Q to get the AS bonus. When they moved it to W, there was no trade-off between maxing W and Q, since now W has all the AS bonus on top of multiplying that.
Late game Kog is the same before and after this change, but laning phase Kog is ridiculously better now that he doesn't have to choose between leveling Q for a permanent AS buff, or W for better temporary range for trades.
No one called him OP until last patch when his AS was moved to his [W]. Then it made his early game super easy to win with because of his high base attack speed.
w to scatter the weak
Are you playing Kogmaw or just getting very confused as Syndra?
The Q is the useless 1-point skill. The E does a fair bit of damage as well as hold them down with a large slow, helping you to kill them with your W.
Last I checked most Kog players don't even put a point in Q until level 13.
W is obviously fantastically broken right now.
E is necessary and useful.
R is what you use if they somehow escape W's ridiculous range.
I'm actually bored of new AD Kog'Maw. The 55% damage to non-minions feels really shitty and not for the reason you think. It's not because I feel like I'm doing less damage to champions, although it is true, it feels like the 55% damage to non-minions is actually a lie. Otherwise why the f*ck does it feel like I am doing exactly that to minions as well?
Also, the doubled attack speed feels so damn clunky. There's this slightest delay to each auto attack that makes me feel like I'm being tricked into thinking my attack speed is doubled. Jinx's passive auto attacks with Q feels much smoother and faster tbh.
I'd rather have Kog'Maw's old W when it just gave attack range and some bonus magic damage like it did before. Actually just give me back pre-rework Kog'Maw.
Some of these changes man... makes you question if Riot goes through with it thinking it's for the better of the game or just for the sake of change.
b-but, they gave him an identity! Who doesn't love identities!
i miss ap kog...[zombie-nunu-tears]
You forgot his Q. Hold on let me take 10 minutes into MS Paint to draw it in for you, I'm pretty sure I found it.

It'd be unfair for Kogmaw to have 2 Qs, right?
what if there was a champion who instead of having a bunch of different abilities had 4 of the same ability 0.0 that could be kindve cool.
Sion has 4 identical abilities in his passive form after he dies. you press either q,w,e,or r to gain a speed boost
This is how low elos view most champs, reality is, Q is incredibly important for making tanks squishy , E needs to be saved and used at the right time and R is really good at last hitting champs. You do you though low elos, you do you.
Youre a moron. The highest winrate Kogmaws, and every single adc main using it for freelo in masters+, dont touch Q until level 13.
Lol, you're a clown, talk to me when you get on my level.
Yeah. QT and Gosu and all the others must be clowns too.
Actually Gosu and QT say way worse shit about low elos than me, have you heard these people talk? QT openly says.."man this champ is really good unless you are a Low elo retard" all the time, he constantly looks down on low elos and even admits it, he even says, "i'm arrogant" and calls low elos pathetic trash all the time and kids throw their money at him constantly, Gosu too talks trash about low elos, clearly you guys haven't even watched these people play off streams. QT no need he says it on stream
The difference is QT and Gosu know what they are doing and have credibility...like not putting a q onto kogmaw until level 13.
So, question: After the tank's have armor and MR, do they start using their Q after they have their skill points in it? Because if not, that's a waste on their part since it still shreds resistances.
Damn, I never knew qt was a hundred percent serious all the time. I couldn't tell from how he plays with his cats on stream and makes constant dick jokes.
The old AD Kog was the most intricate ADC I've seen in LoL. You HAD to play him perfectly or you would fail spectacularly. Now he's a binary champion with blatant strengths and weaknesses. Sigh (At least AP Kog isn't that much of a spambot anymore)
Most intricate? I'd contend that with
. He doesn't even get Koggy's range and his primary damage source has to be repeatedly caught in the heat of battle or else he loses a hefty chunk of his damage, unlike Kog'maw who didn't have that kind of problem.
Draven is a snowbally lane bully with a crapload of damage. Kog'maw had to use his kit to its full extent no matter the circumstances.
IF you want to be a good Draven, You need to perfectly juggle(catch and throw)at least 2(3 for better damage output)axes every teamfight. Also enemies see where your Q's land so you need to manage all your axes positions which is difficult considering how sensitive they are.
(I really could have just said that the old Kog had a high skill floor, couldn't I?)
If you want to be a good anything, you need to be aware of how to use your kit well and how an enemy might abuse you using it well. Draven can control the general direction of his axes and with a lot of AS, it's difficult to react to the indicator where it willl land. EDIT: I don't mean Draven is easy, just that his strengths are more defined than the old Koggy's.
AP Kog had more hilarity pre rework. Namely due to the massive range and damage his ult could inflict with its old scaling.
Trying to fight him head on meant getting hit with a Q and an E while getting shot with a AA buffer and running meant mortars.

I would just like to take a moment to mourn my old mains, AP tristana, and AP sion :'(
gotta love how riot killed both of my old mains.
[deleted]
I do agree about the sion rework, just mad cause he was one of my mains before ;)
as for trist I'd say leblanc or zed are more annoying than she was, and she always fell off hard late game because of how hard it was to jump into the enemy team without dying.
[deleted]
Idk I can definitely see how it could be annoying. I think it fit the meta at the time where you could reliably expect to scale into late game where her usefulness flatlined hard. I'm pretty sure if she still existed now, she would be a problem because most games are win by mid-game and there would be a lot more interesting tools at her disposal to help her wreck faces than there were back in season 2-3.
Last night i was running away from a Kog Maw and he kept ulting on me, missing every shot.
Then he hit me. 800 damage, dead and burried.
R to finish off the stragglers.
I level my q second and use as a farm/poke tool in lane and an initiator to fights with the new kog'maw and I am hovering a 74% win rate with a 14 game sample size.. It's not a bad ability.
The best change they can do to R is to make it work on an ammo system instead the current cost doubling bullshit, considering that they don't want you to use it as poke but instead as a finisher.
3/4/5 charges, 40/55/70 mana each shot, charges restore 20/20/20 seconds each. Reduced poke presence and actually allows you to cast 5 shots before killing your own mana bar.
