I know I'm in the minority, but I love all of the movies from Star Wars. Episodes 4, 5, and 6 are much better than 1, 2, and 3 but I still like them all. And somehow, I hate Annie from episode one more than Jar Jar. I mean, why is he so young? Now, I know that Jar Jar is the worst thing to happen to Star Wars, but... (gets shot because PunSniper hates Jar Jar and saw that I was about to say something nice about Jar Jar).

tbh, i didnt watch any of them...i played the gane lego star wars for ps2, it was so funny, even without dialogues i think i know what happened

I wouldn't get so hyped as even if the movie doesnt live up to the hype you will probably still find it enjoyable. Similair to Age of Ultron, I new the movie was set to be released but came in watching it with only the knowledge that it was an Avengers sequel and I enjoyed it while others said it wasnt very good.

I have cautious optimism. In other words I am hoping it's a great movie, but realize Disney owns it and have purchased a replica lightsaber so I can join the surprise wake up party/curbstomping in the directors bedroom if the movie sucks.

Just think though; sleeping in his bed, soundly, happily dream of the money he made for a pile of crap (if it is a bad movie). Then he is awakened by the sound of 1000 lightsabers activating in his room.... EPIC.

I'm not saying kill him or even put his teeth on the curb. Mostly just a message that we do NOT approve and will NOT tolerate the starwars franchise to be ruined.

Of course if they do a good job with the movie SWEET, but if they don't... I say a few bruises and soiled sheets is a small price to pay

From everything I've seen and read so far, it seems like it's just going to be a rehash of the original trilogy--much like Jurassic World was a rehash of Jurassic Park. This wouldn't surprise me, given the creative bankruptcy of the major film studios today. So honestly, I'm not that hyped (plus the marketing is overkill) and I'm a big Star Wars fan too, including the prequel trilogy and the shows. There are a few other potential issues, but this is the most basic summary of my feelings on the matter.

I really hope I'm proven wrong. And if I'm proven right, it's easy enough to excise it from my head-canon (much like I did with the bad parts of the Extended Universe before the Great Disney Purge).

And I'm sitting here thinking to myself: you've hyped the living shit out of this movie just like with Fallout 4, and you're all going to be dissapointed, when you're getting what you asked.

It's not the second coming of Christ, it will be a great movie, just don't expect it to solve the meaning of your existance.
