So I decided to look at the champion update schedule on a whim and saw that Ryze is the next planned rework after the upcoming mage update. Wasn't he reworked around this time last year? I was just curious as to what the goal of this upcoming rework was if anyone has any ideas.

Is he really fine? He's been nerfed repeatedly and with the recent nerf to his passive, I thought that was it and thought Riot wanted him gone completely until they figured out a better solution. Turns out not even that is good enough and people are picking him up still in competitive matches and dominating.
ModAttysu The Poro1 votesThat's the thing, anything is viable if someone mains something, and gets really good. If you master a champ in high elo, no matter how bad of a champ, you can do well. Hell people climb to Master tier doing all Galio or all Urgot all the time. Doesn't mean he's OP in general play.

Sukishoo1 votesWhen I asked about it in another thread they said they didn't feel they hit the mark with him so they were giving him a much bigger look this time. It will come with a new model so that's a plus (because he still looks like garbage).

BeatzBoyFTW1 votesRyze's current kit is still considered to be quite bad & unhealthy, as players who're new with him can suck as much as a Level 10, while a good Ryze can be dangerous & seriously conquer any lane with ease. Plus, Ryze's rework will still come before Yorick because Riot mentioned that Yorick's kit are harder to balance around considering the fact that he's a "necromancer"(?) with his ghouls & shit.
