Meddler, a question about stealth vs mobility
Hey meddler, what's up?
I've got a little question about the upcoming assassin rework.
Most people really don't like playing against stealth champs. Having stealth means having initiative and the ability to first strike, being able to pick your battles, having an option to escape or juke, etc. It makes a troublesome champ just that much more difficult and annoying to predict and to counterplay and you always feel like you are behind the 8-ball where you either don't know where they are or they can properly take advantage of stealth.
On the other hand, people hate mobility creep as well. You dive, they escape. You use a skill shot, they avoid it. They have more mobility than you so they can kite indefinitely or can chase as long as they feel like it. Again, this sort of thing is frustrating to play against when you can't pick your battles so well and the enemy is much harder to predict and react to.
The trouble is, an assassin needs to have the ability to get to a target of high importance and have the opportunity to blow that champ up. Since I don't see riot going back to Poppy's old ultimate, as fun as it was to be a wrecking ball for a few seconds, and I don't see riot being happy with the old nidalee nuclear barrage, so you guys have obviously had to have taken a look at these two options for getting to your target.
So my question is how do you guys feel about stealth going forward in LOL?
Which option is riot going to be favoring for assassins to get to their target? Can we hope to see riot moving away from stealth or reigning it in? Can we see more stealth with more options (items?) for improving stealth and counterplay? Are we going to see high damage champs with increasingly more mobility creep who can just get in, blow a target up, and get out safely?
Will the future be more of
or more of
?
