Assuming the numbers you mentioned are correct, I would attribute it to good players not taking a brand new champion into ranked before they know how to play it competently.

That is, excluding players who don't have alternative motivations for doing so (i.e. streamers, PBE player looking to take advantage of the confusion).

you might need to switch between normal and ranked to get the real numbers. I got 85.7% win rate initially and concluded that could not be right and then got the numbers I posted after switching off of ranked which has numbers that seem more realistic.
