Do you prefer the new ZZrot or the old one?

I feel like the new ZZrot is too situational. The old one was viable on any champ and was overall a decent purchase, but the new one is only good if you are on a tank who is strong enough to keep the enemy from taking it down, and even if the enemy doesn't take it down the voidlings are taken out in one aa so it's actually easier to keep them from hitting the turret. When they do manage to hit the turret, they hit a bit harder now, but it's really only a slight buff in the scenario where you are alone in the lane and are pushing on the turret. I'd say the viability was nerfed tremendously and even on the champs who can use it the best, they really don't gain much from it.

new one is better

now you actually have to push with it instead of leaving it in a lane and making a giant push with no effort or sacrificing presence in a teamfight

I liked the old one better. It's niche was very simple, but very appealing: buy this to keep one lane pushed without you needing to be there. Good use of it could apply map pressure without things like teleport.

The new one has it's niche changed to: buy this on a tank so they're not so damn pathetic in taking towers. That sounds like an issue inherent to tanks that shouldn't require the player to invest just under 3000 gold to fix. And I use "fix" in a general sense, as the item is far from reliable since it needs to be protected after it's activated.

And really, if you wanted a splitpushing tank without all the hassile, just play Shen. No reason to spend precious money trying turn Malphite into Tryndamere.

The entire point was for it to be a situational/niche item. People were just buying it setting it at a tower in one lane then pushing another with their team. Making it a must buy to counter it. It became too demanding when they really only wanted splitpushers like yorick or heimer using the item to do what their job is which is hard lane pressure

The new one because it's more situational.

Who would ever want to go back to teams being able to basically buy their own mini-tryndamere?

New Zzrot is awful.

Old Zz'Rot was perfectly balanced. New one is just disappointing.

The old one was better before towers got gutted, again.

Zzrot is great for when you want to help control how lanes push without leaving the team.

Top pushed up to the last tower? Drop a zzrot under the tower, it'll push out on its own.

It's one of the few tactical items in league focused on how lanes push.

New. Now it's actually being used as intended.
