Taric's Identity is Unique Riot, Please don't Rework it.

I know Taric is on the VU rework list and I would love him to see play again but PLEASE don't change anything about his visual style or his lore. Please keep the gay element to his character because thats one of the most iconic things about him. Intentional or not, Taric is a poster child for diversity of sexuality in League of Legends, along with Diana and Vi who we both know are lesbians.

I just really hope Riot doesn't turn Taric into a generalised MMO Stereotype when they rework him. His "gay aura" is what makes him fun and he is one of the most original characters in League with Riot leading the way on sexual diversity in Video Games. As for his gameplay, he has a great playstyle, PLEASE don't ruin it as you did with Zilean and Soraka .

Please keep Taric's gay identity! Keep League gay pride. As a gay man myself, I am proud to see Riot providing so much diversity in its characters.

Taric's sexual preference has never actually been stated. Parts of the community assume he is gay, but he could very well be the only purely straight man on Runeterra for all we know.

Personally I don't want his preference to be made public. It wouldn't add to who he is in any positive way.

Exactly, and I want Riot to keep that because that is what makes Taric unique and fun to play. His ambiguity is a fun source of speculation for the fanbase and I would just happy to see him not lose that and maybe, make it worse with skins like "Arcade Taric".

Fabulous!

To be perfectly honest most characters are completely ambiguous. The ones that are confirmed to have or have had relationships are unconfirmed to that gender being their only preference.

It's more than just a standard for Taric, it's how all champions should be handled. We're not here to read relationship stories, we're here for stories of heroism and villainy, and to play a good game. In my opinion only ambiguity can cater to this while still allowing relationships to take place in the story.

Yes but all the relationships in League have been straight and I think there should be room for Diversity, like Diana admitting her feelings for Leona and so forth. League is the most played video game in the world and it would nice to see them making a positive statement that gender and relationships are not confined to different genders etc.

It sends out a lovely positive message for equality and tolerance. Doesn't matter if you are straight, gay etc, all can come and kill each other on the Fields of Justice. XD

So long as it's actual diversity I'm fine with it. Someone could make a game where every character is bisexual and it would be applauded for "diversity". The same cannot be said for a game where all characters are straight. In both games the entire population is the same, there is no diversity.

Diversity for the sake of diversity is an aweful thing, however if for one reason or another sexuality can be added to the story for an actual, legitimate reason that would be fantastic.

Also the Diana/Leona ship is just that, a ship. There's nothing actually saying they have feelings for each other beyond the community. Taric I can see someday being a good gay character, however Diana and Leona would sooner kill each other.

on Diana/Leona, yeah that ship is bs. But Diana actually has some respect for Leona, and if you didn't see my other post, Diana would be conflicted if Leona offered to help change the Solari. Still, respect =/= lesbian.

ya his identity is being absolute useless trash

Since when was Diana and Vi lesbian?

Diana and Leona? Diana respects Leona and it has been stated if Leona offered her help to change the Solari, that Diana would be conflicted about it. Respect for someone does not make them a lesbian.

Vi? There is absolutely no hint of it at all. She just likes punching things. Frequently butts heads with Caitlyn and her orders and loathes Jinx.

So you are telling me that Vi is not a lesbian... looking like she does. Oh come on, its obvious enough, if you need a hit, look at Debonaire Vi, she looks like a man.

Guess you're telling me blondes are stupid too?

Stop stereotyping.
