So about the Kassadin nerf..

Riftwalk; Range from 700 to 450

I... This would make Kassadin so unviable. His strenght was his mobility, yet nerfing it so hard for what reason? He has no silence, is barley an assasin anymore and now nerfing his range? Lee sin has a 700 range dash, for what cost? he does not pay about 400~1200 mana for endless jumps does he? (Yeah we all love to use Lee sin as example welp)

Can we get at least some context? It's his ultimate ability and it is designed to be strong, so why nerf it so hard?

Look the community at large has been complaining about mobility creep (with good reason) for a couple of years now. They have to start somewhere, while we probably would prefer they start on champions like lee sin and Ahri, starting with kassadin isn't a terribly bad idea since it pretty much defines his power by itself. Lee Sin is also super mobile, but has other tools as well (% missing health damage, obnoxious CC) so its probably harder to gauge what those changes do to him.

Kassadin on the other hand is defined by his mobility, so much so that its pretty much his only strength, Nerfing his mobility and then slowly buffing other parts of his kit is probably a good way to start getting a handle on moblity creep in general.

though, his long ranged ultimate is the only thing he has left. He has to use it if he wants go all in and is a great tool to dodge abilites with the trade of paying alot of mana for that. It is his what defines him, to be an strong mobile assasin. other champions with having greater mobility spells than him (leblanc, zed) will just easily out preform him no matter what. If they gonna take a part of his unique identity, then i hope they gonna give him a new identity as well.

Honestly I'm okay with it if its packaged with a shorter Cooldown on the R itself and buffs on his kit in general. While Kassadins mobility as it currently is is super fun, he's still weak, his burst is mediocre and he gets absolutely shredded by any other assassin. I would gladly take a shorter Riftwalk if it meant having it on a shorter CD or having some of his burst returned him. (Or like maybe allow his E to have a cooldown, but every time a spell is cast near you take 1 second off the cooldown)

His ult is already extremely low CD and he'd need buffs to his actual kit since they just cut out a large part of his power budget.

Can he still do this?

The action starts about 2 min in, but it's only 3 mins to watch the entire thing.

If that's the sort of thing he's got too short range to do without perfect positioning (inparticular the one where he goes directly across the nexus' full diameter) then the nerfs need to go.

Probably not unless he could W a champion since his ult stacks would still be up and too high after that time, his mana would be too low after those initial casts, but if he was full mana then he could've definitely pulled it off since his has an AA reset to go with it and his ult is a bit lower CD.

I don't want them to nerf his mobility and I'd prefer if they nerfed his Q/E since those were the more obnoxious parts but I guess I understand.

His ult has always been the problem with him, and if they nerfed it in the beginning, they wouldn't have had to mess with his other skills. The most obnoxious thing about kass is his R.
