What would be the impact of making the crit from Zeal items a named unique passive?

Obviously kills RFC+Shiv, makes Zeal item choice more important, makes crit ADC buildpath more expensive, indirectly buffs champions that already only had one zeal item in their core (e.g. xayah). Favors ADCs with good AD ratios, too, I guess. Lowers ADC MS by a small amount, as well?

What're the worst downsides to this?

If that was to happen at the state of the game, utility adcs and lethality adcs would be stronger. Jinx, Caitlyn, tristana, and other 2 zeal items purchasers would feel weak. You could potentially see ziggs bot a lot and other similar types of mages. Morde adc would become more popular but Morde himself is really unpopular so idk if people would consider picking him up. Overall, it would be a huge meta shift. I think the reason why most adcs go 2 zeal items if they don't have utility is that there is like no reason to go other items. You get almost any stat you want in a game. Pen through last whisper, crit through zeal/ie, ad/lifsteal through any lifesteal item, and ms through zeal items and boots.

It means you randomly nerf double zeal ADCs and force an essence reaver meta.

Why would we do this? Double Zeal ADCs weren't an issue in season 6 nor half of season 7.

Guinsoo would become standard on adc along with the ER utility/caster adc

Worst downside? You kill off every standard hyper carry that needs triple zeal
