Does anyone actually build Runeglaive?

I randomly faced an AP Ezreal mid during a teambuilder game, and he took smite and got Challenging Smite / Runeglaive. It synergizes really well with his Q, giving it an AOE shot like Iceborn Gaunlet, but a lot more damage without the slow.

Needless to say he got fed and was bursting the shit out of half of my team.

I've recently built it for AP Jungle . Fizz is really good at jungle now, as an AP champion, and playing him at the jungle, you don't have to suffer constant harass and zoning from enemy mages.

The only reason why I don't build Runeglaive often is because I don't play AP junglers very often. I like to play Devourer/Cinderhulk junglers instead.

From my experience, Runeglaive is underrated, yes it has inferior to damage-wise, but it comes with waveclear and cooldown reduction. Also, if you are going with an AP jungler, you don't really have other options. Fizz has Cinderhulk, but then you are using him in a completely different way, instead of playing him as an AP assassin, you are going to play him as an AD off tank.

As of now the only problem I see with Runeglaive is that it is a very bad item for . It is a very good opportunity for Riot to either buff or rework him.

These are all the champions that are supposed to be capable of using Runeglaive in the jungle (outside of off-meta builds like AP Vi) Fiddlesticks enjoys it the least out of all, and it's hard to see him having a place in the jungle now.

can also make a sudden appearance if they buff it (but they're more likely to take advantage of the new Sated Devourer instead)

I'm pretty sure AP Ez mid is going to singlehandedly get Runeglaive nerfed. I've seen it at least 3 times since the patch and every time he's been crushing the other team. I've seen single Mystic Shots half people's health bars. It's Cinderhulk in top lane all over again.
