i first played ornn a bit when he came out and found him pretty meh but i guess some people liked him. Now i tried him in aram and he doesnt even have a shield anymore. He has literally no sustain and what little cc he has in his primary kit relies on enemies allowing it by being near terrain or requires him to vastly delay it by casting q. Like how does he function as a tank or even bruiser with no sustain and terrible cc?

It was only his W that was % health. His Q was always total AD and his E was always whatever it scales with. His W is also damage over time...
... Also riot doesnt use %HP damage as tank busting anymore, they use it as normalized damage.
