I watched the new roadmap video from the skins guy and he mentioned how supposedly we love k/da so much so i finally got around to watching the video (i've seen the skins in game and think theyre quite meh) and really found it underwhelming. Don't get me wrong some of the animation looks really cool but the lyrics (at least the english ones that i understand) seem really shallow and the music itself is nothing special imo to each their own i guess. It seems like riot just wants to cash in on horny asian men by oversexualizing and in some cases asian-ifying some champions. Also the introduction of prestige skins reflects very poorly on on riot's image imo as well. Music focused events are nice, i'm hoping that in the next k/da event they have a better song but I also hope that they dont neglect to add to the odyssey universe since it has much more potential compared to the pandering nature of the k/da universe.

k/da is literally just a fictional kpop group. You can say you dislike something without trying to shit on it and the people that like it.

I really dont care for SG skins but I'm not so self-absored to make a thread about it, thinking others must be aware of what my own vapid greivences are.

I'm hoping your downvotes are coming from more than just triggered kpop fangirls.

Obviously you're not part of the group he is addressing.

If someone likes the content they will keep watching and buying, and if someone doesn't they won't continue watching nor buying.

The majority of the playerbase (hell some of these people don't even play the game) likes it so Riot will continue to do it because they are a BUSINESS.

Also your pathetic insults will change no one's opinions.

k-pop is one of those things that seriously irritate me. I personally think it's kinda shit but hey, different strokes for different folks.

I don't think K/DA is anything special either, the song and video were extremely average IMO. I don't care that other people like it, I'm fine with that. What I don't want Riot to do is assume every single one of their fans likes K/DA and spend much more time on that, instead of spending it on the things that I personally like, like Star Guardian, Project, and old champion model updates.

All asian listen to KPOP. To me that music is worse than original POP. Can't listen to it in any form or way. But i understand that League is most anime based community so i don't mind Riot doing it. I mean they gotta make money and they know how.

Just wanna add how Riot used to be chill and cool with Pentakill skin line - heavy metal. But since china owns them they went to anime turn.

This is why there are so many skins that cover so many alternate fantasies and aesthetics. Not everyone likes Kpop, so they aren't going to release solely K/DA skins. That said, the skin line is popular, so expanding upon it will appeal to many players.

That "we" you mentioned evidently doesn't include you. I think Riot absolutely nailed the theme and song.

But you know what, I think it's okay not to hold the majority opinion. Although, I definitely think you can be more respectful of it. I can say nasty things about your preference of the odyssey skin line too, but I won't because I don't think it's a civil way to act.

wasn't k/da supposed to be part of pentakills universe? i'm really hoping they'll do other genres and not just another K/DA but considering it's popularity...

aside from that yeah it's just Kpop, idk what kinda deep lyrics you were expecting? The animation is great and i can see the appeal to the song if you're into the genre but don't really care much.

K/DA evelynn's outfit is amazing tho.
