Why do I keep losing games like this?

Im a Bronze 5 mid laner and in a lot of my games, I get the first kill on my enemy mid laner and I'm out CSing them by a fair bit. After killing them once or twice and out CSing them, I can confidently say that I've won lane and have no deaths (this is around level 6). Now, apparently I'm meant to gank other lanes, but whenever I do this, I either die from roaming, or the gank is unsuccessful and my opponent catches up in CS. Throughout the game, I end up dying more and more and so does my team so that we end up losing the game and my opponent ends up with a better KDA than me

Nonetheless, when I have a decent lead in lane at around level 6, I always seem to lose it, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I play AP Ekko, and my mechanics on him are much better than the vast majority of opponents I face in mid lane, but this situation always occurs and I don't know how to fix it.

Any advice?

Stomp your lane(take the tower) Then roam. Be sure to communicate and try not to roam in the fog of war too much.

Don't just roam to roam. Gank if there's an opportunity, but if it's not there, don't bother. Also, not every champion is meant to roam from lane to lane.

I get ahead in mid as well but make sure their tower is lower than mine before I roam unless I'm tf (ult roam whenever theres an opportunity). As long as they flash or you get your teammates a good amount of free cs its a successful roam. You don't need to come away with a kill to make successful roams
