For Season 10 - Riot needs to be honest with themselves about the state of matchmaking.

The trend towards strong mismatches was very well noticed, documented and discussed on these boards for season 9. Its time to stop pretending like this isn't an issue negatively impacting the game and address it directly.

The system needs to stop hiding MMR especially that is what matters for matches, not rank, rank is literally useless in all regards except dick measuring.

Honestly it seems like every game is either i stomp the enemy, or they stomp me. I havent had a good, long, fair game in ages.

I shouldn't have to win games vs smurfs to rank up. Nor should I lose lp if i lose. It doesn't make any sense. Even flex will give you reduced lp losses if the enemy team is severely overranked compared to your team.

you get the rank that riot wants you to have. everything works as planned for riot.

riot is anything but honest, good luck with that.

Low elo players usually complain about the state of MM, however, I could also graps an undeniable trend in stupidly low risk-high reward champions that are being played. And that is another anchor that it is not counted often.

There are just champions that can snowball way better than others ever will. And this is the reason why the data is so messed up from one match than another.

Riot needs to stop designing cancer kits. And only then, they will be able to grasp what is going on with MM.

Otherwise we will only going to state "You lost to a fed Jax." "Your jungler couldn't catch up the pace against that Kha'Zix, so you lost". "Plates, first blood, first tower taken, cock-a-doodle-doo, you lost".

I don’t know how matchmaking was in early seasons but currently it’s HORRIBLE. My account is Silver 3 (yes Ik I have a lot to learn) and I’m finding myself getting more and more frustrated with climbing. Or at least attempting to and not getting anywhere. What happens is when I am 0 LP S4, I go on a massive win streak and hard carry games until I get to around 50 LP S3. When I say hard carry I mean a typical game as Kat of like 20/4. During this win streak, riot matches me with ppl who may or may not feed a little bit but at worst, they realize that I’m going to carry them and play safer. However, once I get to mid S3 for some reason I then get matched with absolute r%%%%%s who will squander my 6/0 lane lead as quickly as I got it. I’m talking your typical bot lanes who have a combined 10+ deaths at 10 minutes or less, or a top lane that is 0/6 with 40 cs down and is hard engaging every chance they get no matter how many times I’ve tried to warn them. U may say that it’s bound to happen sometime but it truly happens to me every time I cross the S3 50 LP threshold. The only way I win beyond that is to play a flawless game, and obviously I’m in silver so that can’t happen all the time. Is riot basically telling me that I have to preform like a Plat smurf every game to climb past silver 3? Before you all say “if your good enough you’ll climb easily” I whole heartedly disagree. You get better from playing competitive games. But having an 0/11 Ashe and some troll auto filled support who picks something off meta, or a teemo that feeds the enemy garen to a nice 8/0 does not make for competitive games. Not to mention the amount of weird picks I see that decide the game at champ select because everyone wants to pick a squishy carry no matter what the role or comp is and everyone wants to build all dmg or ap. Or the amount of whack runes I see (ex: electrocute Braum). I figured making the Iron division would help keep high bronze and beyond more competitive and keep the trolls, hard feeders, inters, or anyone who seemingly doesn’t even care enough to check online to see if their build is right out of matches with people who actually do care and want to climb. I was wrong and I think it’s even worse now. I understand silver is low elo and if I was really good I would climb quickly. But how do u expect me to get that good when the matches are not competitive in the slightest and every match has at least one hard feeder who basically makes the game a blowout very quickly. Who can I play that isn’t at the whim of feeders? I want to play good games that make me better at the game. DISCLAIMER: this is my friends account I’m posting from bc I don’t care for a bunch of ppl criticizing my gameplay as I realize I have a lot to learn, my problem is I’m not learning anything from people inting in my games. Truthfully this is really ruining my league of legends experience and sometimes I’d rather be playing Fortnite nowadays, and I don’t enjoy fortnite.

Wanna bet? They won't do anything, again. They are already aware of this issue, they keep denying it, and doing nothing. Therefore, it's intentional.

Anything documented about matchmaking on this Board should not be taken seriously.

Way too many hardstuck Silver players here who will grasp at any excuse they can get for being unable to climb. We have people here who legitimately believe that Riot has rigged the matchmaking against them, and these people are often upvoted.

Cosnirak10/14/2019, 12:35:36 AM6 votes

I don't think they made any big changes to matchmaking. The matchmaking was always horrendous, and now the game is too, so things are indeed worse and the matchmaking is indeed awful but correlation doesn't equal causation. You can't use an ELO system in a team game where teammates change every game and expect good results. And yet game after game keeps doing it...

xelaker10/14/2019, 4:15:24 AM4 votes

For fks sake people. RIOT DOESN'T CARE. The effort and resources to make a better matchmaking system is better spent making cash crops

What do you mean, i love playing against a full team of diamond players with a grandmaster while i'm gold 4. But yea foreal that is singlehandedly the biggest reason i play less and less. It's just not fun or fair to get some high elo tryhard on his main champ in normals stomping everyone. And why are they always toxic ontop of everything else?

I have 6 accounts in Gold and have gotten to mid plat on 3 of them this season. I have been plat since season 5. I like to smurf and make accounts. I can tell you from experience: this is the hardest season to climb in, based off of personal skill. In Season 8 I was Plat 1 100lp peak several times. If my account wasnt banned. I would be Sitting somewhere in Diamond with a 48% wr and spamming 1k + games on that account. proof:

Match making is pretty bad tbh, it makes me sad riot doesn't seem to care about improving match making at all. The game is more fun when the quality of the games you're getting is higher. Right now the system is designed to keep you at a 50% win rate. The better you do, the worse your teammates are to compensate for you being so good. Plus outside of ranked I've seen new players that are obviously not smurfs put in games with Challengers and grand-masters simply because me and my friends normal mmr is so ungodly high. In comparison Dota is making waves of changes to their matchmaking to improve the quality of games and get smurfs out of lower elo's and make ranked more approachable to newer players.

coolopen210/14/2019, 7:42:21 PM2 votes

Lol MMR is mad fucked this season, I was in a blind pick game with a Challenger, 2 Masters, a Diamond, and a Plat, and I'm Gold and was playing solo

SilentBomber10/13/2019, 11:53:26 PM1 votes

As a top laner It feels like the matchmaking, intentionally gives you a worse opponent to lane against but a better duo for the enemy's bot.I've noticed it sooooo many times to the point i was disgusting.

It's really sad to try and climb to platinum 2,only to get demoted again because the matchmaking decided it so.
