Yeah, I really don't get it because the only people who will even have that much blue essence, outside of people who just don't buy champions, are people who have been playing for so long that they could already own Urfwick, instead of newer people who missed out on it. I understand that the point is for it to cost a lot and not be easily obtainable, but the fact that for the most part people who weren't around for the skin won't be able to get it is really stupid.

It's not supposed to be easily obtainable. It's supposed to be a reward for playing a long time and an IP/BE sink.

I mean, if ip is 1:1 with blue essence, I'm 50k over and I've also been playing since S2. There are so far 0 ip sinks in this game since they removed ward skin rentals anyways so offering a limited skin as one isn't so bad.

IP is 1:1 for BE, but your current BE will get scaled up. Also, you get 1500BE for each rune page you bought with IP. Even with all that. best case scenario I'll have 100K BE. Unless I get rly lucky from now until preseason and get a shitload of champ shards from boxes.

I mean, if you really wanted it, I think someone did the math and found that buying and spamming mystery champ shards gives you 8% more BE (cause scale up) than if you just wait. Dunno if it really works though.

it is true. also depends on how lucky you get. If you get a lot of high value shards (for 6300 champs for instance) then you can get more. The 8% is just an average number.

Do you own every champion have 20 runes pages with all viable runes and regularly spend IP to unlock mastery levels 6 and 7? Gonna go out on a limb here and say you don't.

I own every champion, have 10 rune pages (20 is ludicrous) and have 37k blue essence. On top of that I own almost every rune in the game besides the special ones, and the ones that give gold/exp.

sorry 27k blue essence at the moment

I used all my IP to buy champion shards and turn them into blue essence.

With that and my runes,. Ill have a ton of BE when the conversion happens.

Ill have 168k if the transfer were to happen today. I think its a 6.5 exchange rate? so

(6.5 x BE) + current IP = total youll have after

6.5 x 27,000= 168k+Current IP= 171k. ISH.

also, I bought champion mastery as well, I have mastery 7 on 3 champs, and master 6 on like 10 champs.

I think I have 3k games unranked alone. More in ranked. I know in season 5 I had over 1000. I have quite a few more mastery lvl 6 and 7 than that, but I don't think it's a significant difference given how many games we're talking about. If they changed over tonight, I'd have just over 100k BE. I doubt I'll be able to farm up 50k by the time they switch over. I'm not sure how you managed to get that much, but even with how much I play this game, I won't even be close. If this is how Riot Games rewards their long time fans (more than 6 years now for me) then I honestly wish I'd never supported this game to begin with.

I had 32k IP when kayn was released. I had nothing to spend it on so I saved it (I like my name) I bought some champs with RP but mostly with IP.

doubtful. the refunds just suck. Make sure you understand that you only get 100 BE for each normal rune and 300 for each quint. NOT a full refund (unless you bought the runes AFTER the start of the 2017 season).

Then you clearly didn't buy a lot of content. You bought something you needed and didn't really care to spend extra on something you didn't need. No reason to complain or feel cheated out on because Riot is not rewarding you based on how much years you've spent playing League but how much of your in-game currency have you invested on now obsolete content so that you can get a return on it.

I've played League for 8 and a half years already and i don't have that much runes. I bought what i needed, experimented with some, bought some rune pages and that's it. I'm not going to see my account IP savings skyrocket either. And i have no reason to complain because besides the time, i didn't invest IP into runes that are now going away. I invested all that in champions that i can still use.

I keep around 20k on hand for whatever new champion comes out so I can continuously own all of them. I also own every rune. I feel al little bit cheated after having spent something like 450k IP to obtain every rune and only getting 150k back, but all well. Also... like... Wasn't UrfWick like... 100 IP or something like that? I felt like that was my consolation prize when it came out since I didn't get my Urf champion and URF is never on map rotation for long enough.

100 IP? Lel. No. Urfwick cost 50RP, 500RP and then 5000RP. It was released for a short time and the price would jump in that short window till it was then removed from the store.

I've been here since season 2 and will have just over 300k BE once the conversion and refunds hit.

I mean the refund of runes alone will net me 147,600 BE. I own every single Tier 3 rune, even ones that no one bothers to use (lol). Then I know at least 2 of my 20 rune pages were bought with IP, so that's another 3000. 150,600 from there. Then I have a ton of BE already (18,052), because of dusting all my champ shards as Re-roll won't be a thing anymore, so that gets amped up by 6.5x to become 117,338... in the end, I should have at least 264,938, plus my current 35,450 IP I will have 300,388 BE.

So you really must have been renaming like mad...xD
