Sion could really use a touchup. His VO is also permabugged.

Let's talk Sion. The rework for Sion was a wonderful thing. We went from a barebones champion with hilariously unimpressive visuals and cheesy dialogue and turned him into an incredible character that comes to life... literally. I'm glad he has a proper identity in the game now and is genuinely amazing. I would play the heck out of this guy if it weren't for two glaring issues I have with him.

One is how his W, Soul Furnace, can be very unrewarding. I understand the ability is designed to have counterplay, but ever since the nerf that took his re-activation duration to 3 seconds, going out of your way to use it can be a chore. This ability is frustrating; even if you're playing as a full tank and are drawing attention like you should be, you are getting punished for taking damage when you are supposed to take damage. I wouldn't mind seeing some kind of "hit me harder" functionality where his W detonation timer comes up faster if he is hit as long as it doesn't break. This could work with how he shrugs off AoE damage and this could totally scale well. Don't take my word for it though. Not only this, but Sion can't even use his W's detonation damage in his first jungle clear - he actually needs to turn it on, wait a second, then detonate it on his own accord just as it almost breaks. It's a bit of a pain, but then again I don't see any real fix to this issue.

Another thing to note is that... there's been an issue since the rework regarding his VO. Sion has these really entertaining emotes that never actually see any use. This is because of a bug that is most certainly tied to the lines from his abilities. If he uses an ability, Sion will not be able to say anything again until much later in the game, and then after that brief period it is bugged again. Sion needs this fixed, I implore you Riot to do so.

Again, Sion is amazing. It's just that I'm a little put off by how he functions right now. I wouldn't even mind having some power stripped off somewhere to make his W impressive again. This is a signature ability that wasn't dealt with properly in my opinion. He's also a CC tank that has enough counterplay to make him potentially less useful than other more reliable champions. I think he would be fine with one reliable ability that does some measly magic damage.

I think Sion is actually in a pretty good spot right now. Sure his W can be frustrating but Sion has all of the tools he needs to use it effectively. He can activate it while charging Q and Ulting to get it off while they're CCed/before they can pop it and the slow on his E can allow you to disengage for a second or two. It's a pretty good shield on it's own with his passive health stacking even without the damage. I actually think of it the opposite way: it's not you that is being punished for taking damage; it is them being punished for not dealing the damage to you.

As far as first clear goes the same tactics I mentioned above can be used. Activate it early and use your Q and E to give yourself time with the CC and kiting.

As far as his VO problems go I'm pretty sure that is just an intended effect of having so many different lines; they want to make sure he doesn't talk too much so there is a certain amount of delay. I actually wouln't mind a higher frequency of quotes but i understand they don't want the clutter.

It is true that he is not the most reliable champion because of his counterplay which is the main reason he doesn't see much pro play. However he has more than enough power in his kit to make up for it with great damage and CC. I actually enjoy the challenge of working around opponents with him because of how rewarding it is when done right.

And for the record his W does not do "measly magic damage." 140 base + 40% AP + 14% of their max hp to an entire enemy team is potentially thousands of damage... XD I'd suggest putting a second or third point into his W at lvl 4/5 in most scenarios. Even just one point does wonders.

You know, you may be right about there being a delay on his lines. He really talks a lot during ordinary gameplay, even more so than other recent champs. Riot did consider 13 minutes of dialogue a pretty big deal after all. Emotes should uh, surely be an exception though.

While I believe his W can be a liiiittle awkward to use at times, I'll admit it definitely has merits that are worth striving to use. I'll think about putting some points into W early; that actually sounds like a respectable thing and haven't heard of that. I also only just realised he could use his W during his ult after this post!

I wish I saw Sion played more around the place. Maybe if one day Riot tweaks him or make changes to some kind of random tank item(s) we may see him make a comeback. He's great and everything and I can agree with the satisfaction that comes from playing him well and coming out on top. I know there's gotta be some kind of secret Sion main club out there. :^)

Hmm... Does nobody stream Sion gameplay? I guess I've never really looked... Although I have honestly thought about doing a little streaming with him myself... If there is a club I haven't heard of it... Maybe they are all like me and hate everybody and mostly keep to themselves... XD

Only thing I agree on is that the bug with his VO needs to be fixed.

his attack is buggy too, im attacking something then i use E, then he stops auto attacking

I've noticed there's a lot of unresponsiveness going on after he uses abilities. Lots of players have brought this up in the past and it's really unfortunate.

I haven't noticed bugs.

I've noticed that I can't emote with Sion in combat as well.
