I feel like half the "issues" with the runes would be solved if you could choose the stats you got

Bruisers don't really like the AS from precision but they'd love to get some AD together with PtA

Some mages might even like grasp for sustain, but they don't want the hp

Some champions like phase rush but would prefer HP over AP/AD

As much as Runes were heralded as a "chose your own playstyle" approach, the stat gains do shoehorn champions into picking specific trees simply for the AP/AD they'd be giving up for the keystone runes.

That's by far my only problem with the runes since I considered Fleet footwork Morde but the AS is such a turnoff.

I personally am happy with preseason so far though, haven't had this much fun in a long time. :)

I agree, though I would argue that the amount of those stats you get should be tuned to the primary (andaybe secondary...?) tree you pick the way they currently are.

So, for example, precision primary should give less stats than Dominate primary should give less stats than inspiration primary - I'm not sure quite where resolve fits, probably somewhere in the lower stat tier because of how powerful some of the runes are.

My issue with runes is that you kinda want Resolve second to not get shit on, but that limits you way too much, so most people dont do it, probably until Riot overbuffs Resolve lul

You would solve some issues, maybe...but you'd create even more.
