Anyone think Warlord's Bloodlust isn't as powerful as it could be?

> Basic attacks on enemy champions gain increasingly more life steal based on your missing health, granting 0.06% - 20% (based on Missing health) bonus life steal. The life steal against minions is 50% as effective for melee champions and 25% as effective for ranged champions, granting 0.03% - 10% (based on Missing health) and 0.02% - 5% (based on Missing health) bonus life steal respectively. The amount of life steal gained caps-out at 80% missing health, but does not scale linearly. 10% missing health: ~1% 50% missing health: ~9% 80% missing health: 20% Does not work against monsters.

From the wiki page.

  1. If you have no missing HP, this is worthless b/c of the non-linear scaling. It only becomes useful around 40-50% missing.

  2. The actual usefulness seems situation-based, for 1v1's only. I feel like this is only useful on Vayne b/c she can 1v1 with low HP but everyone else can't really 1v1 a 100% HP champ when you're 20% HP.

  3. Half/25% as effective for minions. Considering Minions are 80% of what you use Life Steal on, just doesn't seem viable to get 5% life steal when you are about to die. So basically, this is only effective on Vayne or melee top laners.

IDK what fixes should come about. But for now, making it linearly scaling would help and justify it more as a "Life steal" mastery.

Clearly youve never seen a Graves using this.

Vayne actually works better with fervor because she stacks attack speed.

Hard to balance it, because ranged champions will always abuse it top vs melees.

Warlords was stronger. And people complained, now its weaker ( balanced imo ) and now people want it to get buffed because they think its too weak... typical

Just got Yasuo. You're right, it works wonders.

Other champs though? IDK.

(strictly talking about adc)

It is niche. If you're playing a weaker ADC into a nightmare bot lane it can be a bit clutch.

Pros say it's useless but that's because they revolve only around playing the most broken and powerful combinations and if they do end up countered they will just lane swap or just make the most out of playing a bad situation. It's never really the optimal potential play to take warlords considering all those factors as warlords only kicks in when low. + you have item options that give predictable lifesteal. In those highly competitive environments you play to the highest potential outcomes and adapt around it.

But outside of that highly organized environment sometimes it can be your clutch in lane. It's held back by being more situational as it requires you to get chunked and keep on fighting. Maybe it IS too situational though. But sometimes if I'm laning versus say a Draven and I have weaker trades and no extra range + their support is supposed to have more lane presence I might consider it as it might have more use than expecting fights to be decided 8+ autos in that if happened would likely have me killed by then. Tanks in the current meta make fervor more attractive though. If fights were always short then fervor would be less attractive.

As such if the enemy solo queue team picked zero tanks, just a bunch of squishy dudes trying to kill me, plus a hard lane matchup for me I would consider it
