Regarding the AP item changes

Overall it's pretty good. Defining Liandry as a tank item (even though I think some AP could be removed in favor of more healrh), Morello is finally an assassin item and mages finally have more first item options.

However I there is one thing that bugs me.

The lost chapter evolution don't need an extra 10% CDR along with the new passive in my opinion. Mage items (and most items in the game in general) are already saturated by CDR. Zhonya: 10% CDR Banshee's veil: 1O% CDR Nashor Tooth: 20% CDR Lichbane: 10% CDR Protobelt: 10% CDR I know that most of these are niche items but the 40% CDR shouldn't be easy to reach nor optimal.

Tl;dr: The new Haste passive on the new Lost Chapter item line is good and should be kept but the extra flat cdr on the final items should be removed.

Isn't Liandry's meant for dot champs?

Revamped into a long fight item (so sort of meant for tanks)

But they said it was intended for champions who apply damage over time. Unless you mean it's used against tanks.

They changed it so it no longer have passive magic pen, they replaced it buy a damage enhancer over time, (the longer you fight the more your damages increase). So more directed toward tanks and battlemages.

Mages generally need the CDR though, as they are heavily gated by it and in most mages are basically useless when their skills are on CD. The reason why the lost chapter's evolution giving 20% CDR is because item 3165 is losing its CDR and is now not going to be the usual first item rush anymore. With most classes having a way to easily reach 40% CDR thanks to them having options in 20% CDR items, mages only had Morello on live to reach it (which is also why most other AP items gave 10% as well).

The fact that the usual way mages play now currently was to rely heavily on Morello's 20% CDR, when that is going to get removed it's going to have a big impact on mages unless there were other options for 20% CDR which is what this update is going for. Now you can choose which of those 3 items you'd want to have if you were after the CDR. In most cases, I feel people would take item 3003 mostly but now item 3285 is also going to be a pretty decent option as a first item as well.

Plus remember that with Transcendence, you shouldn't even feel bad about going over the CDR cap as that would now give you extra AP as well.
