Give me a reason on why Tristana's W shouldn't be nerf'd?

I don't care about the damage, I care about when a champion is too safe to kill.

So why should Tristana deserve a reset on her W for a mere E detonating OR kill?

Because safety is all she has. I'll just copy-paste a reply I've made on another thread:

I'm a little concerned about nerfing Tristana's safety too much, as that's one of the big reasons to pick her. Unlike other hypercarries like Twitch, Vayne, or Kog, Trist doesn't really have any kind of "big moment". Vayne and Twitch have their ults which allow them to go HAM and get things done, Kog has his W which shreds everything. Trist doesn't have that. She's just a smooth linear damage curve. Her one moment of any kind of big damage burst is her bomb, which isn't really doing that much due to cooldown and having to stack it up.

The two big reasons I see as to why someone would pick Trist is her safety and tower pushing. For the latter, Jinx or Xayah do that just about as well (Throw in a Rakan and an Earth drake, Xayah might even be better), and every other ADC only slightly further behind, with Demolish users and Elixir of Sorcery right behind that.

So that leaves safety. Tristana is reliable. Unlike a Vayne or a Twitch, she has strong ways to protect herself. In return for their lack of that, the other hypercarries get much more immediate impact in fights. And from Trist's possession of those safety tools, she gets reliability. But if you take away that safety, you lose the reliability. And as mentioned that she doesn't have any kind of immediate impact, she falls off the map into obscurity

Trist's w is basically her identity.
