Look, carries, I'm sorry...but you pretty much should always build the same thing.

It's rough, I realize, but at the moment carries really do have pretty much one single build that is better than everything else.

If you don't build for crit, the enemy carry will easily double your damage output with nearly no effort. You will lose the game, and you don't even need to have played badly. I know it sucks to hear but I need to beg you: please stop being creative.

Build infinity edge, phantom dancer, Bloodthirster, last whisper, Bezerkers and guardian angel. Don't get creative with Runaans, Or Botrk, or TF...because 99% of the time just going HURP muh DURP and copy pasting your build is better than trying to react to any kind of situation.

Oh wait and there is Kailsta who rushes a Runnans and vayne rushes a Bork. TF Corki and blue build Ezreal. Twitch has the option of Bork. And youmuu's on Vayne Or even a graves. I like it on sivir too. There are a lot more build paths for ADC then you want to admit and they are all viable. Now if your playing Ashe then yes your build is correct.

Also building Mercurial scimitar against Zedd is a good idea. Banshee's veil can be of more use against heacy ap/cc teams.

Yeah, I just experienced the "fun" of a Runaans/BT Kallista who performed identically to the opposing carry who built IE/Shiv and easily tripled her damage output in midgame.

It may not always be the flashiest, it may not always be the easiest due to positioning, but not doing it does a disservice to your team.

If your saying the Ie/shiv did 3 times the damage of the Kalista with a Runnans and BT I submit this had more to do with the rest of the team or the kalista being bad then it had to do with items. Also one experience can be a exception not the rule.

If your saying kalista tripled the damage of the other carry I still submit this had more to do with the rest of the team or the other carry being bad.

A carrys damage is dependant on positioning and peel. If a carry cannot position correctly or have someone peel so they can do damage then the carry becomes worthless.

Not building your "perfect adc build" is not a disservice to your team. This is your opinion not fact. The fact is there are more then one viable builds for adc depending on the adc and who they are against. Thinking that its your way or the highway is beyond ignorant.

I am not saying I know everything about adc cause I SUCK HARD at adc. However I do understand the roles and different builds that adc's can use.

Really, I've just played 2 games where my ADC went either runaan's and TF and won lane hard.

It's possible to win without the traditional builds, but into the late game, crit strike is sub-part to none. It's hands down the most powerful stat.

but to build crit early on diminishes your output by quite a lot. The opponent who possibly went TF could wreck you in lane and mid game, resulting in him dominating you easily :)
