Crush some fools with Top lane Sejuani! (Sort of a Guide)
So, with Sejuani's rework having been brought down a notch with recent nerfs I thought it was finally safe to just spam her a bit in ranked. Seeing that I'm not that great of a Jungler (people do say that diamond players play their off role on a gold-level) I decided to play her on my smurf to get a better feel of her so that I might pick her up on my main.
And oh boy, she's really fun top lane! As someone who enjoys brawling play styles and stresses how important teamplay is to win a game Sejuani seemed like the perfect top lane pick for me! https://www2.pic-upload.de/img/33202605/sejtop.jpg
So I just spammed her all the way to Platinum V

Before we get into details on **HOW **to play Sejuani top lane, let me tell you **WHY **you should or shouldn't.
#PROS: -Strong trading -Provides your team with a heavy front line -Strong initiation power with Glacial prison -Works exceptionally well with melee team mates (Zed mid, Kha jungle, the usual) -Not easily bullied -BRUTAL level 6 all in -Can lead her team to victory rather easily by forcing fights
- She's T H I C C -Poro Rider is BM as hell
#CONS: -Mana Hungry, almost cripplingly so if you just spam spells -Somewhat susceptible to true damage and extended trading (Darius for example) -You do somewhat rely on your own team and can't really solo carry -Obvious slander about her riding a filthy pig into battle
For runes, I run a heavily defensive page

The resistances in particular boost your survivability, while the AS and MS make you a real thread when leading the charge and applying your frost to multiple enemies.
Masteries can either go 12/0/18 or 0/12/18 Depending on the enemy being rather poke heavy or you thinking you can just pick fights with them

Grasps helps with surviving and adds another type of damage to your DPS, helps you trade efficiently and also adds some more power to your all in.
Her Build is rather flexible but I personally prefer a 40% CDR build.
It makes your winter's wrath be on a ridiculously short CD while giving your R a measly 46 second CD at max rank.
For starters I go

and potions, cloth armor usually just being an option in heavy cheese lanes like Riven and Tryndamere
Early pick ups:
You're getting bullied hard? Grab one of those. Also gives you some mana sustain and makes trading better
Passive lane when you just want to farm? Second dorans for more sustain and minion damage
If you're ahead and want some more OOMF in your all ins
Counter push item or just for the early HP
Against pesky mages that want to bully you
CORE ITEMS:
This is the end of all your mana issues. 20% cdr on top to make you able to spam your winter's wrath and the slow field makes you even harder to escape from. It's probably THE core item for Sejuani but you CAN run Trinity too, yet I advise against it as her base AD is pretty lackluster
Pretty standard tank item, gives you more wave clear and more ambient damage, pretty early pick up
Another CDR option that helps a ton against magic damage dealers while being overall the best MR item you can run.
You might consider substituting it with
if your team's a wombo combo one with an AoE mage (Orianna especially)
Your final bit of CDR. The passive is invaluable in late game skirmishes where you can skirt around the edge of battle, regenerating HP to leap back into the fray once you recovered while putting out some E's when your melee buddies are fighting.

To finish off your build
You play Sejuani as a trading bruiser top lane. You'll be trying to hit the enemy with both parts of your Winter's Wrath before charging in with your Q, applying the remaining two marks before freezing and shattering them.
Your level 6 all in is similar, yet you use R the moment the first stun is wearing off, to hit them with another EISBRECHER damage proc and a 1 second stun. Once you asserted your dominance in lane you're free to either try bullying them further or force skirmishes with your team, which you'll inevitably win.
Questions, suggestions, more theorycrafting? Don't hesitate to strike up a conversation, I thoroughly enjoy discussing some of my favorite champions and how you play them :)
Edit: I'll look up some workable footage from my recent games https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTsWeaZM-rc&feature=youtu.be

or
and that's only if for some crazy reason you have a mega tank team and not much damage. But still, Rod just delays your IBG which is just to great to pass up. BV could be nice for a little extra power in your attacks as well as preventing them from tossing a few abilities hoping to pop your passive.
