Hunter Potion to be 150 gold cost item

item 2032 when you consume a charge this item restores 65 health and 35 mana over 8 sec. This is 150 gold item not 400 gold item. In contrast a health pot costs 50 gold and restores 150 health. What they could do is set the max charges to 2 and make it restores 1 charge upon killing a major monster

I would be much better get 3 health pots and finish my jungle TIER 2 item rather than upgrading my potion into hunter potion. Tier 2 jungle item gives enough sustain and if you like more sustain get lifesteal or spellvamp or just gank more often and recall more often but giving 400 gold just to be able to jungle is ridiculous!

another starting item that i was silent about so long was corruption potionitem 2033. Its really good starting item for laners. But you give 500 gold and you are good to go. Junglers however have to give 350 gold for jungle item then give another 400 gold for refillable potion and then another 1050 gold to finish their jungle item which putting their budged as low as possible. They wont be able to build power early game and its generally a nub trap overall you spent 1750 gold to be able to jungle without being able to solo herald ( and maybe drake too).

So Hunter Potion should become 150 gold item so jungle could actually jungle. 400 gold is way overpriced for what it gives

And another thing came on my mind. But what if mid laners decide to buy this item. Well 1 restriction would be requirement of smite. Other is 65 health and 35 mana over 8 sec... Is it worthy? You would die trying to complete a camp which makes that extra stack a waste. So overall jungler would benefit way more than laners

You left out that it gains a charge when you kill a large monster. That is pretty damn efficient for a jungler if you need health sustain.

1 stack gives 65 health compared to health potion that gives 150 health. Health potion is 2.3 times more efficient than 1 stack if we exclude the mana part. And thats exaclty the point - to allow junglers to jungle. In the lane you minions takes the damage for you. In the jungle no one takes the damage for you and you struggle on your own. So keep that in mind

Ok? You are getting 5 stacks, not 1, and it recharges in the field as you jungle, and fully when you recall. The short term advantage of Health pots is nice, but greatly outclassed by the longer term efficiency of a refillable potion.

If you want a short term advantage then don't complain, get the Health pot. If you want long term efficiency then get the Hunter's. Nobody is forcing you to get one or the other.

you dont read correctly. I said starting max stacks 2 and refill 1 stack upon killing major monster

Huh? What you said is irrelevant, I am telling you what it does. It already refills stacks on killing large monsters, so your suggestion for it to happen is redundant.

the potion currently is redundant. You are wasting too much gold on sustain that aint helping you in teamfights and duels at all. Instead going for lifesteal or spellvamp you go for hunter potion which is not favorable but if you prefer it that way so be it. You just come up with bad statements that aint helping anymobody.

I am saying that hunter potion should be made to be 150 gold to help the jungler to jungle. Maximum 2 stacks and every time you kill a monster you get a stacks

I dont even know why do you write in this topic. You play only support champions and never jungle

Because having more health and mana when a fight starts due to Hunter's Potion doesn't help at all...

Instead going for lifesteal or spellvamp you go for hunter potion which is not favorable but if you prefer it that way so be it

Many champions don't synergize well with lifesteal and/or spellvamp or they require certain core items to fulfill their role properly which don't include either.

On the other hand I don't think I've ever needed to buy more than 8 normal pots before sustain becomes a non-issue.

8 pots? thats alot! Way too much. Have you tried to get early lifesteal or spellvamp?

The point was that as opposed to buying a hunter's one could just spend the money on normal pots since sustain is only a problem for the first few clears.

Honestly, that is quite a lot of potions. I find that I only really need 3 Potions to get my upgraded jungle item on my first clear and I'm fine for sustain afterwards on many champions.

Honestly, if you regularly use 8 potions, I would recommend just getting the Hunter's Potion. They cost the same amount but Hunter's Potion gives more sustain in the long run.

Something I tried on Kha'zix and Wukong in a custom game when I realized how bad they cleared early was to back after clearing on-side of the jungle with Refillable Potion and upgrade to Hunter's Potion. Once I had that, I just went to the opposite side of the jungle and cleared everything (including two of the initial camps which had respawned) without issue.

Go back and read my original post. Here is my thought process:

  1. I never need more than 8 potions
  2. Hence I never spend more than 400g on sustain
  3. Buying Hunter's potion for sustain is therefore a waste of money

I did read the original post, but my point is that it's not a waste of money.

Hunter's Potion costs 400G and you get back 160G when you sell it.

If you consistently need 5 or more potions to clear the jungle in a game, you are honestly better off just purchasing Hunter's Potion to stay constantly topped-off and selling it later.

If you can get away with only using 3 health potions for your initial clear and none afterwards, then don't buy Hunter's Potion.

Whether or not you want the item highly depends on your champion.
