Am I the only one who hates the Abyssal Scepter meta?

Like honestly, I hate building that item with all the other options. Especially as a first item.

there is no tank meta.

its a meta of

a) marksmen b) assassins running around with bruiser builds. c) certain marksmen running around with bruiser items

a tank meta would include actual tanks.

you know. these guys:

Sejuani Leona Nautilus Rammus Malphite Sion Alistar Maokai Braum Zac TahmKench Galio Thresh Amumu

while some of them are certainly viable, or even strong, non of them are crazy over the top to the point where they dictate the meta. and especially not the whole class of tanks. some of them havent seen play in years.

..why is that? In terms of cost efficiency it's probably one of the best, if not the best choice in certain matchups. What's your complaint about that item?

I think abysal sept is the most broken/cost efficient ap item ever. So good, but it obviously only applies to certain champions and not everyone can get it...

Its super good against assassins like leblanc, syndra, diana, fizz etc. AP vs AP, so get used to building it. And if you dont like building it due to mana issues, ask for blue buff, buy a 2nd dorans ring (regens mana), buy a dark seal (gives 100 mana), etc.

If youve ever done match ups over and over and tested morellos vs abysal, abysal will win almost all the time as being the more cost efficient/better first item for most cases.

Ofc you dont have to get it, the same way AD mid laners dont have to get a hexdrinker 1st item, and you can just not get MR, but when you get 1 shot by the enemy ap mid thats why.
