This one is hopefully something Riot is trying to make for someone in the future, but I thought I might as well post it.
Fire a skill-shot in target direction. If you activate it a second time while the shot is in flight, the projectile will turn and shoot in the direction of your cursor from its current position.
Think of it a little like Vel'Koz's Q, but a bit like Lulu's Q as well. Imagine the angle shots you could pull with that. XD

too overpowered unless you make it near-useless in both damage and utility
welll, maybe if you somehow make it so that the champion can only be jungled and will always be shit on in any lane despite having this skillshot, because if you make him at all able to lane and the skillshot is at all decent (let alone strong!) in any way, they will just chuck it past minions then retarget on to the enemy for free hits every single time.
darkdill1 votesThere's other ways it could be balanced. I.E., when you change its direction, there's a short delay before it fires in the new direction, giving the opponent the opportunity to dodge. Kinda like Vel'Koz's Q when he manually splits it.

Bankshot's range is increased by the width of any walls it passes through.
To counter this, the default range is fairly short, preventing its abuse to harass past minions in lane. Makes it a reasonably powerful ganking tool without being totally crazy. (And it's an interesting mechanic, too. At least in my mind.)

darkdill1 votesSimilar, but not exactly the same. For this one, the shot would fly out from the Champion like a regular skill shot, and then mid-flight you can change its direction.
ScalyManChard1 votesThere's also the option of having the skillshot fire in a straight line after a brief delay. During that delay you need to reposition your cursor.
The shot then curves around your pointer position, so it's sorta like that 
ability but you control the curvature.
Like the OP suggestion too, would be pretty cool. Maybe it's a rocket that freezes when you reactivate and has to rotate to the new direction, telegraphing which way it will go.
