@Riot: Why are there no champion that deals magic damage with their auto attack?

Hello, I'v always wondered why there are no champions that deals magic damage with his AA. People like xerath, sona or ryze shoot things that look like magic projectiles. That wouldn't be ridiculous.

Edit: pls teemo fan boys, I am not talking about on-hit or things like that. I'm talking about the basic attack that start at something like 50 and grows by about 3 by level and that deals physical damage for any champs in the game.

Corki would like to speak with you. Jokes aside, the main reason is simply that there's no point. Magic damage basic attacks do nothing but make a basic mechanic more inconsistent than it needs to be.

Teemo, Cho Gath, Orianna are hybrids. Jax gets magic damage when he hits level 6 too.

Any champ+Nashors Tooth=magic damage on AA.

Corki, Ori, Akali, Cho, TF, and to a degree teemo all deal magic damage per basic attack.

Corki TahmKench Kayle Kassadin Akali Fizz Orianna Teemo Varus all deal magic damage on their basic attacks. Jax Bard Diana Ekko Kennen Lux Chogath Thresh Ziggs can also deal magic damage on their basic attacks, but only on certain condition (Every third or forth hit, when the ability is off cooldown, etc.) Also, item 3115 and item 3124 deal on-hit magic damage. Same thing with the old devourer.

Pix can make people deal extra magic damage when they autoattack.

For godsake people, he means full out autos that are just magic damage, no physical damage at all. All the champions you're listing simply get magic damage tacked onto autos.

Once teemo has his E, usually level one and if he builds ap (most common build) his aas are magic based with a small bit of physical tacked on

Probably because they need some form of physical damage. It's pretty easy to build for extraneous magic damage like wits nashors, hextech or liandry's but i think only botrk and sheen items let you deal physical damage.

If their magic dmg aa scales off of ad like normal, you may have some balance issues depending on the champ. Could make for some interesting builds, though.

If it scales with ap then that's a big problem: ap is much cheaper than ad. That's why you only see ap Katharina, btw.
