Let me explain why Poppy is in a really bad spot and needs some sort of change.

Poppy is a great counter pick to a couple specific champions. However, Poppy has a couple of huge issues that need to be addressed. First off her win rate has dropped even farther, she is similar to what happened with Fiora in that actually closing out the game with her is very difficult.

There are only really 2 ways to play Poppy, the most common is Tank top. The second is heavy AD either top or JG, this can consist of a mix of AD/Health Items or Lethality (from many poppy mains). The problem with each of these is Poppy doesn't do any one thing better than anyone else. She is one of the less tanky tanks in League and if you play her damage she can't outmatch other bruisers or fighters such as Darius and Olaf who will also end up tanking more.

The only reason to play Poppy is her ability to cancel dashes, hence her being a counter pick. Now imagine you love a champion, you want to play lots of that champion but that champion is so niche that you lose most of your matchups and even if you win lane you will probably not be as good late game.

Because she does do great in lane against some champions it's made it really difficult to talk about change for her cause everyone cherry picks the examples where she is very good. I really hope maybe her W can be reworked to more feel like a tank and not a niche counter or Q can be less awkward to use maybe more auto attack focussed because right now it feels really bad to want to play Poppy.

I've been playing poppy recently and one thing that should be added is having her W getting increased movement speed with levels. idk about other poppy players but I usually end up using my W to engage/disengage unless I know for a fact an enemy has a dash and depending on the champion the dash be predictable. another thing I think should change (although a long shot) is when using your ult and you don't charge is prior it should have half normal cooldown. all you do is knock them upwards. you aren't sending them flying like you would when you do charge. and yet both charge and non charge have the same cooldown at 140 seconds base.

Poppy is arguably one of the best designed champs in this game. She's always got a spot regardless of how the meta shifts and she can be played in every single role minus ADC and find success. Even then I'm pretty sure die-hard poppy mains would find success in bot lane.

I’m all for some poppy changes but I just want riot to be careful with what they do to her. Personally I hate her simply because she can build full tank but still output good damage and that is incredibly frustrating to play against.
