Passive - Berserker's Rage: Olaf has increased movement speed and attack speed the less health he has.

Q - Frigid Undertow: Olaf throws an axe to the target location dealing physical damage to all enemies it passes through and slowing them for a few seconds based on distance traveled. The axe remains at the target location until Frigid Undertow goes off cooldown, which can be reduced by half if Olaf retrieves the axe.

W - Chillblood Fury: Olaf unleashes a warcry, causing his enemy's blood to run cold for several seconds. For the duration, whenever Olaf damages an enemy who heard his warcry, he is healed for a portion of the damage that was dealt based on Olaf's missing health. Any crowed control effect that Olaf is effected by during Chillblood Fury, Olaf will place on his enemies with his next basic attack.

E - Reckless Strike: Olaf leans back for a moment before unleashing a devastating headbutt in a target direction, that deals true damage to Olaf, all enemies, and enemy towers hit. If Olaf hits terrain with it, he will temporarily destroy that terrain.

R - The Coming Ragnarok: Olaf enters an unstoppable rage as he draws closer to death. Olaf gains a shield based on his missing health for a few seconds. While the shield is active, Olaf is immune to crowed control effects.

I feel that Olaf might need larger changes for a VGU, but these are interesting ideas nonetheless. Keeps his core of a guy who just runs in, ignores your CC, and heals a bunch. I'm just imagining Olaf polymorphing someone with his W. Speaking of which, will his W apply ALL CC he received or only the latest or first CC he is affected with?

He couldn't exactly hit people while polymorphed. I think he would be able to send everything he is hit with to an enemy, provided he can still attack. So long as he isn't stunned, disarmed or blind, he should be fine.

??? isn't that how olaf is now ??

Since when could olaf punch through walls with his face?

SirΤeemο1 votes

what's the point of that?

Chasing people who jumped over walls.

Apparently that terrain removal was an ult concept for Taliyah that wasn't used just because it'd be a little too difficult to implement.

They'll figure it out.

If I remember correctly it also didn't work well with her kit because as a disruptor she wants choke points for the rest of her kit (especially pre 6.14 when e did a lot more damage instead of having no lockout on w). Olaf on the other hand doesn't like walls since enemies can dash over them but he can't. That and Olaf slamming his head through terrain would be hilarious.

0/10 not even original you just renamed his abilities

And you know, gave him a CC counter, the ability to punch through walls with his face and a spell shield in place of straight immunity.

So would he be immune to CC or just apply the CC after he is able to attack again?

Let's say Nasus hits Olaf with his slow. Olaf is slowed then uses W, flashes and hits Nasus, now Nasus has the slow and Olaf is back to normal.

It's interesting, I'll give it that. I do however have some concerns about some parts of it

  1. What cc is inclusive with his w. just slows or things like stuns/polymorph/knockup
  2. Will the shield scale with armor and mr otherwise he'll be immune to cc for maybe a second before the shield gets shredded
  3. How long will the terrain get busted for?

as an olaf main thanks for thinking about my favorite Viking just want some answers before giving a definite answer on what I think about it

  1. Well... he has to attack, so any CC that keeps him from slapping someone is probably out the door, unless you get turned into a cupcake mid chop.

  2. I think it'd work like Tahm's shield, so yeah, if you go full damage you will probably get shredded.

  3. Long enough for Olaf to barrel through it chasing someone, maybe followed by some teammates, but not long enough to keep doors open for him to jungle through.

No problem, I just felt like he needed some love after not having been touched for like 2 seasons straight.

Whatever rework that makes him capable of killing someone after minute 30 will be good recibed

Instead of just tweaking his current kit in this roster update-level VGU, I think something like a Nidalee/Shen-level update would be more appropriate. Yeah, I would keep his ult the way it is, but I'll change the rest of the kit.

His passive would be sorta the same but will interact with his Q (look below). His missing HP determines the amount of attack speed he goes from cleave form and instead of attack speed, he would get bonus AD for his single target form.

I'd make his Q be a mandatory level up at 1 (like Azir W) and make it a toggle ability to switch between weapons. One weapon cleaves and the other does more single target dmg (this will help his jungling and not make him so mana hungry).

His W I would make it into a line skillshot, similar to Rengar Q, but it interacts with his Q. It'll do AoE dmg when cleave is enabled and when single target is enabled, it will do a certain %bonus of dmg that the first part of the ability did. The first part of the ability will be him taking his two weapons and crossing his arms with them, in a swinging motion. The first initial instance of dmg will always be the same, but the animation and effects afterwards will be different. When cleave is enabled, it'll do a cleaving motion with his hydra-looking ax. When single target is enabled, he will use both his arms to slam down with it, upon the first target in front of him.

His E I wouldn't change that much. The true dmg from it will have a certain bonus AD/current HP scaling then a base amount.

I don't know if Riot would allow this type of mechanic, but it'll be cool if you could make it so his E can be used to execute yourself. That'll make him use it more wisely when low on HP.

His ult I wouldn't change that much, either, but I'll make it so that when you ult, it locks you out from toggling Q and the Q stance will change certain aspects of the ult. When in cleave mode, it'll extend the duration of the ult, and when in single target form, it'll give you movement speed.

Note: I need a name for the second Q stance. I can't just call it "single target" suggestions are welcome.
