Thanks Rito... bronzies in gold
Just finished a game where I was mildly toxic again thanks to extensive unwarranted provocation by my teammates. And of course I will face potential punishment due to past behavior or at least setback in honor gains even though my toxic inting teammates will face nothing despite having been the ones to start it and to have no justification for their behavior.
Situation: renek vs darius top - level 2 cheese ganked by noc. I escape despite double flashes being blown on me. Noc continues to camp and control visions such that I can't contest vision w/o non-existent jg help and must play safe. Despite many ganks onto me and lack of ability to ward river w/o dying for clearing control ward, I survive laning phase with 1v1 kill pressure, about even in cs, up in xp and 0/0/0 kda.
I look to create side lane pressure since I easily win 1v1 and can probably escape 1v2 if I have flash and ult up. I use pings and chat to let team know I want to create pushing minion waves to force enemy team to split up and either I can 1v1 or look to make tp plays around drag and later around baron. But instead of wait a whole 5-20 sec for me to set up minion pressure and make a tp flank on their team, my team FORCES engages on 5 enemies and gets aced. Not once, not twice, but something like FIVE fights in a row. Drag wasn't spawning yet where they had to force the fight or lose the objective; they literally just inted before I could possibly join; can't tp into a 1v5 or 1v4 when enemy team is all healthy. Darius ends up something like 5/0/2 midgame after he couldn't get a single kill 2v1 in lane. And what does my team do? Learn from their mistake and stop FORCING 4v5? No. It's "trash top" and selfish top. How dare the jerk set up pressure and give us potential easy 5v4 fights... we need to fight NOW. Not 5-20 sec from now when objective is up and minions get us free tower if enemy doesn't send someone to clear the wave. Entire team blaming me all game for THEIR stupidity and being very toxic.
I end up turning around a lost inhib tower defense after bot lane screws up. Do I get a thank you? No, I get a fuck you. I mostly 5v5 after this even though it is perfectly possible for my team to enable me to split if they are gold elo competent... but sadly they all in bronze. Hence why I still get flamed for clearing a side lane after that fight but a trist can solo push 4x and die 1v1 to a fed enemy nocturne. And even if she didn't die to noc, it would be the fed enemy fizz or darius. All of whom she can't 1v1 and can't escape from very easily... meaning there's no excuse for her to BE solo pushing. I'd excuse one time, but 4x of solo pushing and dying - once when team has baron? Just group; you are adc and not even a 1v1 adc like vayne or quinn where you have some excuse for splitting. But does team harass her in the slightest for splitpushing or 1v1 dying 4x? No. Just the toplaner with tp has no business splitting... even though he can 1v1 anyone on enemy team.
Where is the freaking logic? This isn't bronze elo. It's gold. People as illogical, toxic, and hell bent on intentional feeding as my teammates don't deserve to be in this elo. Their intelligence is bronze at best... and there's even people in bronze smarter than they were. Moreover, it's the toxicity. While they avoided extremely bad words... the sheer volume, invalid nature of their complaints and accusations, and lack of any redeeming useful info in their claims mean they should probably not even be allowed to play in their proper bronze elo... because I wouldn't wish such toxic noobs on poor bronze players. Even if you are bronze, you deserve non-toxic teammates.
Did I get a bit toxic myself? Yes, I'm sad to say 20+ min of 4 inting teammates all flaming the shit out of me with no logic to their complains and ignoring well-explained and thought-out strategies gold and even SILVER elo players are capable of executing got to me. But unlike them, I didn't spend the entire game flaming my team. Moreover, I still helped my team; something none of them can say about themselves (helping me). And finally, unlike any of their unfounded toxicity, what I said was entirely true and logical for anyone in even upper bronze to understand and agree with if they aren't so blindly focused on flaming a teammate. Sadly, none of them will face any threat of discipline the way the current system works. Toxicity/flame/harass in chat detection needs to be improved because too much flies under the radar. And inting needs to be punished. It doesn't matter if you are "fighting back" to try to win a fight... inting is inting. Yes we all mess up here and there, but if it's a full game trend of putting yourself in the same hopeless fights over and over again, THAT is when it becomes inting. Because you, your opponents, your teammates, and even your MOTHER know you can't win that fight and need to stop FORCING it. *bad kda does not equal inting nor does good kda mean you didn't it. Inting is repeatedly taking fights you and everyone else KNOWS you can't win and feeding away kills and map pressure and/or objectives to the enemy team because of it. It is no more excusable than toxicity in chat, it has no less effect on your teammates (tilt, chance to win, positive behavior vs negative behavior) than toxicity in chat, yet it is currently written off as "bad game" in almost every single scenario. I don't have to run it down lane doing 0 dmg and going 6 tears to int. I can do it by simply forcing fights over and over again that I have no business taking and no hope of my team winning. Even if I'm "trying" to win by doing damage to my opponents, that doesn't mean it's not inting. Screwing my team over repeatedly without need is inting even if it's my teammates who pay with their lives and I survive somehow. This is different from some poor soul forcing a last-ditch fight to try to stop the enemy team from ending the game. That would not be inting because it is: necessary force, working WITH their team as BEST as possible given the options available. Let's stop freaking out about every potential abuse of "inting" report option, stop excusing REAL inting for fear of false inting being punished, and get rid of this toxic behavior which ends up breeding much more toxic behavior (revenge inting, tilt inting, toxic chat) than toxic chat.
