Been getting 21+ LP per win because my MMR is higher than average. May last match I earned 20LP and I have not lost for a while. Why did my LP gain become less if I am winning? I know I have been told by Riot employees and support, that my LP gain will increase if my MMR is higher! Do I need to submit a ticket to fix this issue? ??? [sg-shisa]

Slythion2 votes...I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, it's not that complicated. Instead of a 50-50 the system probably had it rated as a 51-49 in your favor. The team mmr for you was 1500 and theirs was 1450 or something...it's not that complicated
or, as Unker said, you're approaching your mmr range

Slythion1 votesTeam MMR is the average of all of your team member's individual mmr. So your team probably had a slightly higher team mmr which means you were slightly more likely to win, which means you got slightly less LP for that win.
What about that confuses you?

Slythion1 votesHow does averaging the total mmr of each teammate to make a team's mmr confuse you? MMR is a secret so that people don't know specific things to do to inflate it. Because even though League is a popular game, that's an impossible task to ask of a system. Making teams with exact equal mmr is beyond difficult.

TempName748141 votesMMR is an approximation based on a site's own definition of MMR. no one actually knows what riot's MMR system actually takes into account under the hood. op.gg MMR might be on the dot or a full tier off
