Instead of letting people who play League of Legends do what they want, let's be complete idiots and take team builder away. Wow. I cannot believe RIOT would just make their game suck by taking good options away, and piss off people who pay money to keep their company going. This decision will cause so many people to stop playing.

The thing about teambuilder was, if you wanted a team that was completely meta, you had that choice. If you wanted the opposite, you had that choice. It's all about choice, which they have taken much of away from us.

If you were at the Car Dealership and they told you, here is our selection of cars, but you can enter into a queue for one, you may or may not get the type of car or the color, but thats okay right? Who cares, the car still drives and everything. My point is, don't take choices away and things that make sense for players to use and have fun with, in degrades the game and Riot will lose money from people not playing.

The reason I don't play much ranked is because of the actual anxiety that I get during champ select, trying to get the role I want, or worrying about the role I'm forced into that I don't play often. This is an excellent solution.
For normals, though, can we go ahead and make Team Builder the default game mode, rather than blind pick? Or am I in the minority in thinking that blind pick is inferior to team builder?

There is no reason to ever take away choices from the players, it ruins the game for everyone. I see your point for Ranked games, and I think Team Builder mode needs to be added to Ranked. Being able to pick the champ you want is the best option.

Especially at higher elo, you NEED to be able to plan about your team comp, not just individual champs. That's why team builder is going away. Your best option is NOT blindly picking a champ and hoping for the best. Never has been, never will be.

But for normals, if someone wants to practice a certain champ/role, or just play a casual game with something they find fun and know they'll get it, Team Builder remains the best option.

The Team Builder needs to be brought back, and applied to Ranked mode as well. It makes the most sense as a 5v5 Sum Rift mode. Thanks for the post, and keep letting Riot know that we don't like our options to be cut, and it will cost Riot actual money if people stop playing because of their game mode botching.

DBS Ronovon1 votesThis doesn't address the issue or resolve anything, and I understand if you don't play normals, thats fine, however, the team builder mode gives you a complete stress free option to play the role, champ, and setup you want without a time limit. If you like just playing random Champs, then play ARAM or maybe try to suggest a ARSR where you play random Sum Rift like ARAM.

Chances are, even if they did keep teambuilder, the split player base, would make Q times for team builder even more pronounced. Until it eventually dies out, cause the wait time was too long.

The game had a full normal game mode allowing full custom choice, this is why I made the analogy. In team builder, you have all the time in the world to choose your champ, and create a whole team where everyone agrees on what they want to play. Not saying there aren't problems with people playing bad, but if I queue up solo Team Builder, I can choose my champ and role and wait, no questions asked, no dumb calling and fighting over roles. I can't do that now, and neither can you now.

Basically those of you in defense of Riot want me to learn and understand that I am not supposed to do what I want to do, and instead I need to do what I'm told to do, and what is good for me, right? I am so sorry for not being excited for thinking this way. If you want to Defend Riot, don't pretend that there is no money involved, and please don't try to let them get away with bad decisions. They SHOULD be held accountable for taking things away that make sense and matter.

I, for one, would prefer to have old teambuilder replaced if it meant shorter queue times in the new queue, so I will keep playing.

I began playing league about 2 years ago and it quickly became tiresome having to fight others in champ select for roles or Champs. I began playing Twisted treeline as an alternate, but again I wasn't guaranteed the champ I liked and, well, it's not as fun as SR. I began playing SOLELY Aram just because I could log on and just be stress free in that I could just join a game and just play. Then teambuilder came out and I was in love with it. I felt like I had a way of learning a champion, no ands, ifs, or buts. Even if I lost games, I was learning to lane against different opponents. My goal was to learn a set of champions enough so that when I do play ranked draft mode I could work around bans. Now with teambuilder gone, I can only hope that I can play a champion I'm currently training in. Teambuilder was my holy grail to finally getting back into SR and ranking up. I love you Riot but please bring back teambuilder.
