Please riot rethink or revamp the grading for masteries or put up a better system. Please!

We're struggling on a 4 v 5 we kill 4 of their team mates finally take mid tower and me and our adc rush to baron to kill it, our yasuo was alive and instead of helping us he goes ham on their remaining vayne and takes a while to kill her but by the time he kills her he runs to us with the rest of the enemy team they flash in and go ham on us we have no choice but to back out and run for it they manage to kill us in the chase and take baron. Ofcourse that was the icing on the cake for our struggling team. All he cared was for kills and i feel he cost us our chance, so the match ends and he get's an S- and tells me " see this eve". He will remain playing this way...

Ok... So there seems to be a lot of huff & puff about how to get an S...

Friend of mine carried an entire match, took 7 towers, all 3 inhibitors, had a good KDA ratio + KP, his cs was pretty damn good for a 30-ish minute game...and he got the Herald, 3 dragons, Baron and a Penta/Ace.

HE GOT A B-!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A B FREAKIN' MINUS! Yet, the support rocks an S+ with literally no cs, low gold, 0 kills, 11 deaths, 14 assists.

Something SERIOUSLY wrong with that picture... Pic or it didn't happen right? HA! Why bother...system's trash anyway. You get an S- S S+ for being a map hog and NOT staying in your lane, taking all the CS and pushing various objectives + JG kills too...OH!...and taking down the tank under your turret by 0:01 on the game clock. [zombie-nunu-tears]

YES! This is what I'm talking about, they know it's flawed, and they don't care. I've experienced this as well. It's a messed up system. They'll never fix it, and just say "Get Good" :(

That match shoulda gotten me an S- at least in ARAM...guess who got the S? I facedesked at that point and was like...ok...whatever. Don't ask about that DND match...shit's bugged. Bad. Our nexus health went from 496 down to 328 after enemy team took storm alter + relic. No one died at the time either.

my brother right now just won a stressful 68 minute game and he just saved the team from a backdoor had about twice as many kills as death about 24/12 along those lines and their karthus that barely did anything and ks'd a few times was about 14/12 k/d and got an S- he said that you get an S depending on how the average player does overall with the champion. This is really upsetting as this could be use to improve or encourage players to get better at the game but now i feel like it's some extra thing thrown in the game like some random achievement or collectible.

I main quinn and twitch...and I do (in my opinion) fairly well with them. There are times I can get fed once I hit 6 on quinn and 4 on twitch. Usually when that happens and I really kick in the ADC mode, I can peel like no other and CS no problem...especially with Quinn.

Do I get S's for carrying my team and peeling the shit out of the enemy? Fuck no. Do I get S's for AFK'n majority of the match, roaming, getting assists, 0 deaths and a few kills while taking objectives like towers WHILE CS'n?...seems to happen A LOT with specific champs...and I usually get B-'s doing that.

Only Time I've ever gotten an S- on Quinn since this whole mastery bullshit came out was...uh...Never? Prior to that, I used to get them CONSTANTLY! Same with Twitch!

Idgaf about the mastery 6 and 7...word has it that when you finally get chests, you roll mastery 6/7 token for someone else you don't even PLAY!... So, whatever. I'll keep my Lv 5 and Riot can keep their Lv 6 & 7

I looked around and it seems it's been confirmed, Your rank grade depends on how the over all player base does with a champion. So i guess if someone is smurfing let's say Quinn and just bullying silver's with it that person is going to bring quinn's over all expectation for an S grade up. I've gotten S on janna and Nami and i swear to you i don't have to work as hard with them as i do with evelynn and i still don't get anything with her. On janna, nami i'm mostly peeling and counter engaging so i just wait for the enemy to mess up or give me a chance just a game of patience and i nearly always win with evelynn i'm running all over the map trying to gank and get objectives and even warding for my team mates and peeling and baiting for them and i get squad.

Guess I better start using another champ as a Main. Probably go with Hiemendinger since he's listed as a Support as well (strange right?). I could probably peel pretty well as a support heimy, but as far as getting CS over the ADC...would probably piss off that ADC... I've gotten a few S's on him during URF and OFA...but general PVP...naw.

OK I can already tell you baron was a bad call with 4 down you should have pushed turrets you really only go for baron in a 4v5 if their damage is down. Also that yasuo got an S cause he had way better cs than you had 70 and probably didn't take as many towers as the yasuo. Getting an S isn't about getting kills and having a good kda. Your kda doesn't win a game. The game is won by taking objectives

I pretty much strictly play ranked, and get S-, S & S+ all the time. The amount of Mastery Tokens I have is dumb, however, the amount of Blue Essence, or even the need for Blue Essence to achieve these ranks is what's a pretty unreasonable and not-well-thought idea.

http://imgur.com/3UBV9hN THANK YOU!!!!! I'm having the same issues with the grading system, it is so flawed!!! That Lux went AFK for 2 Minutes and got an S, I stayed the whole game, got the most CS, etc etc, highest KD and only earned an A!! They HAVE to fix this.

The reason you didn't recieve your S was because you severely lacked enough farm at 40 minutes. You're graded based on how you perform against other players on that champion. You could be 40/2 but if you have 60 CS at 40 minutes, you're not getting your S.

I don't think CS has anything to do with it at all honestly, I just CS'd over 400 and still got less than an S... Point, blank, period, the system is highly flawed and skewed unbelievably.

Again, it's based on how you perform vs how other players perform on that champion. Time is an influence as well. Your game with 400+ CS was also a 64 minute game. It's going to factor that in.

that's rather saddening considering someone can just smurf evelynn and pick off players then to get a better ranking grade effectively, unless you mean on my elo which then indeed would also depend more on who's smurfing and who are they playing against. Getting a Rank S shouldn't depend on the other players performance but rather my own. This effectively makes me really sad as i would effectively lose my cs, my chance to counter jungle and everything to get my team ahead i even build tank rather than assassin to pick them off just to bring the team ahead. I feel... discouraged now.
