I betcha someone is gonna yell at me for asking this, but why does Riven's E scale 100% with AD? Meaning that at level 18, a Riven with 500 attack will have a shield of 500 points, plus the 210 points that she gets from having E at max rank... It really don't seem fair to me. Oh well.

Kingsgrave2 votesIts to force her in to building Damage. They don't want the optimal build for Riven to be mostly tanky items and still be able to do as much damage and survive as long as a full damage build Riven.
OyddAWqJ5r1 votesBecause it has a ridiculously low base. So unless you'd rather have her have a higher base or health scaling (you really want riven rewarded for building health?) or some other ratio it's best we simply leave it with the AD ratio.
JoshuaAmaron1 votesShe has 0 hp5 effectively her shield is suppose to be her hp5. 100% scaling with damage allows it to scale into late game.
Zaghyr1 votesThe duration is 1.5 seconds and against champions with dots or playstyles where they can just wait for the sheild to go down do very well against inexperienced rivens. Also her hp/5 is EXTREMELY low to compemsate. Riot wants you to feel rewarded for blocking something instead of blocking someones full combo.

her reliance on her shield is actually her biggest weakness, since if you CC her she is unable to shield and it makes her just as squishy as an ADC.
