That I can only assume half the playerbase has received chat bans through sheer frustration because in almost every game I play hardly anyone speaks now at all. It's as if people are scared to say anything 'offensive' to their 0-10 team mates. And it's the same in post game.

Been playing this game several years and it's never been this quiet. You'd think that would be a case for celebration but the underlying cause definitely isn't player satisfaction that much is obvious.

Just how common are chat bans now anyway? I tell my jungler this isn't Facebook farm simulator and next thing I know I'm chat banned so I keep my mouth shut too ;)

The game is super quiet now probably because of it. I was telling a troll to stop flaming my team a while ago and I got chat banned. For telling him to stop flaming and play. And then when I report people who actually feed deliberately and taunt people, there's no action...

everyone mutes the game. no reason to use chat, it's useless anyway. add anon voice chat ffs rito.

I find once the game starts there is no reason to communicate with typing. Pings are faster and give you any info you need. Also the moment anyone is negative or rude ill ask them to stop. If they do it a second time ill let them know im going to mute them now so if they need my help they will need to ping. The mute button and the quiet it brings in game makes the game much more enjoyable.

Losing in league is already frustrating enough without listening to a teammate be a jerk all game

Game's gotten way more competitive than seasons ago. People got better at the game and expect as much from teammates.

Chat punishments hardly got any harsher, but the players got less sympathetic to each other and would rather shit on their teammates than inspire them or talk like a normal human being, simply because the game makes them. Snowball is deciding games, damage is higher than ever, horrible game mechanics have been added, not even gonna speak of invetions such as Zoe, Pyke, Aphelios etc.

When was the last time you saw your team say "well played" or spam in caps after a penta? This isn't before season 5 anymore. It's a rarity to see inspiring behaviour nowadays that should be the norm, which is fucking sad.

Yeah, no. Most people don't have chat off out of fear of being muted, most people have chat off because they don't feel like dealing with fools like you every game. You're like a terrorist saying the government is why the people you killed died. Your sort is why they died, period.
