Titanic Hydra on ADC as Lategame Defensive (but still wanna do more damage) item.

So I realized that Titanic Hydra grants 5 + 1% of your max health as bonus damage on your autoattack. A lvl 18 Jinx/Sivir/Vayne have 1900 base health, and with 400 bonus from TItanic Hydra, that's 2300 for a total of 28 bonus damage on your auto attack. That's 68 AD (basically, unless you're Luci or Ez, in which case it's pretty much 40 AD), and 400 health. Whaddaya think?

That's just the cleave and specials, look in the wiki. I know this because once I accidently bought Rav with an ADC.

If you want a defensive damage item, Quick Silver sash would be a nice shout, build it into mercurial scimitar. Alternatively Black Cleaver and Bloodthirstier are also damage items that bring more survivability.

Bloodthirster does not grant life, and I guess you're talking about stacking them? Stacked, the shield size doesn't double.

BC is also good I guess, but it - actually yeah, BC is good for the Armor Shred, stickiness, life, and AD.

Bloodthirstier grants survivability. As an ADC you NEED to be getting auto attacks in, the life steal gives you health on each of these autos at a rate of 20% damage. This brings in massive 100 health heals per auto attack which let you live for longer. therefore this item can be attributed to survivalability.

Bloodthirster doesn't grant lifesteal... What the fuck? And when the hell did he say ANYTHING about stacks or doubling your shield size?

he never said doesn't grant lifesteal, he just said life. by life, we can read between the lines and assume that life=health, such as which the cleaver and titanic bring to the table.

I'd still sooner go Mercurial or Guardian Angel over Titanic, though. Too much of a waste

What LadyRenly said. Also, by "stacks", I meant stacking bloodthirster's, which as an ADC, you should already have one. And how else would stacking bloodthirster increase survivability if it didn't increase life/health or increased shield size? (besides lifevamp)

Why wouldn't you just get item 3071 or item 3053 or item 3022 if that was the case?

Most ADCs benefit from CDR and Black Cleaver provides more armor reduction to amp your damage.

They also wouldn't object to a decaying shield and increased base AD from Sterak's Gage.

I don't see any ADCs turning down a permanent slow on autoattack either (except for Ashe).

Asayake 5150glow1 votes

Titanic Hydra gives more AD than both of those items. Steraks will only give 25 base AD, due to most ADC's max base AD being around 100.

I assume you were replying to me. While Titanic Hydra gives more AD, Black Cleaver gives 20% CDR and armor reduction while Sterak's Gage gives a large decaying shield.

Frozen Mallet is also a far better option that Titanic Hydra for the utility of a ranged constantly-applying slow.

Titanic Hydra is pretty much the worth of the Health + AD options for a ranged ADC.

That's... true. But Titanic Hydra does more damage... eh, Frozen Mallet is probably better in terms of tankiness.

I would argue that Black Cleaver does the most damage of any of the options. It reduces the enemies armor by a percentage (meaning your autoattacks and physical abilities deal more damage by a percentage) and increases your CDR, so you can use your abilities more often for damage, CC, and mobility.

Titanic Hydra gives you some on-hit damage which scales with your low percentage health and which doesn't benefit from Critical Strikes.

I also realized that Titanic Hydra only gives 40 base. So I guess you're right.
